Through all the turmoil, kidnappings, and deaths and attempted deaths that this supercouple has endured. What is the next logical step for Peter and MJ? We know Peter wanted to propose but it never materialized. Do they need another challenge or should they finally be happy? Do they need another person involved for a triangle or perhap you are tired of MJ altogether. Here are a few ideas so put it to a vote and if you have some other interesting ideas please share.

I think they should finally be happy. The big love triangle was for Spider-Man 3 and I think that another love triangle isn't necessary. If there was one, it should be with Black Cat and I think Black Cat shouldn't be in a Spidey film. Anyway, I thin kit might be time for Peter & MJ to get married, but if not, then they should atleast be boyfriend and girlfriend in this film.

Kill them off... Gwen becomes Venom to get revenge on Peter... Pete decides to spare Gwen's life, so Aunt May decides to finish the job herself... kills Gwen... but the symbiate gets on Aunt May... who becomes Carnage... Carnage kills Peter and MJ... but MJ pops out a baby just before she is killed... end it on a cliffhanger and reboot with Spidergirl in ten years.... (pshhh... and they blamed it on the writer's strike :whatever:... ... I could have done all the writing for Sony myself...)

That would be Awesome!!! :hehe:

The MJ/Peter storyline took a wrong turn in 3. Instead of the jealousy thing, they should have used a more faithful storyline involving MJ's acceptance of the fact that Peter was Spider-Man. Now I don't see where the MJ storyline could go...maybe they could throw her off a bridge.

I don't know, I think it was important to show that the difficulty MJ had in being Peter's girlfriend. I actually think it sets the stage quite nicely for a story of her accepting of Peter's dual identity.

MJ leaves to pursue acting off screen and doesn't return till the 6th film where they finally work things out and get married.

4th film- Gwen Stacy and Peter get together

5th film- Death of Gwen Stacy

I never thought about that. That's actually an interesting idea. It opens other avenues for Peter and may give us the classic Gwen Stacy death in SM5. Her death would be more meaningful considering they get together in SM4 and finally his one true love MJ returns in SM6 and finally accept each other hand in marriage. Could work.

Box office GOLD!

Yeah but you have to show how they break up in the first place so you'd need a good 30 minutes of MJ... also I don't know if Lizard is the perfect villain to go along with a break up... SM3 was the perfect time to do it... it can still be done... but yeah that only seems logical at this point... I would consider not having MJ in SM5 entirely.

Another love triangle ending with another repititious kidnapping of MJ with Spidey saving her from a very high place. It's worked for three movies, why drop it now:up:

If Raimi is directing and is given complete creative control again then I'd want to see a wedding.

Marriage. AND NO MORE KIDNAPPING/RESCUE! Three times already....

I'd like to see Peter and MJ get married by the end of the next movie...

I would LOVE to have this as my sig.:lmao:

They missed MJ's character completely in III.

Let MJ be Peter's support and have them get married. It's time for them to be happy.

No love triangles, no kidnappings ... Just let them be happy. There are other ways to make Spider-Man sad and angry. For example, have Gwen die, and then have Spidey feel guilty because it's his first real failure as a superhero.

I actually wouldn't have them get hitched in this one . I'd have it take place a couple years after Spiderman 3 and Peter and MJ aren't together. In the time between 3 and 4 they will have both dated different people but neither has been able to move on.

I'd have MJ's career beginning to pick up and landing a film gig in Europe . Peter is getting ready to graduate and working as Connor's assistant full time . Peter is Billy Connor's math tutor and a big brother figuare. Billy is kinda a mirror image of Peter from the first film. Peter and MJ's lives are going in seperate directions .

While they're not together , they still care about each other and it's kinda the elephant in the room. MJ is moving toward stardom and Peter is moving toward academia . They still have things unsaid and Peter still wants to marry her .

I'd have MJ be more like her comic counter part. A quick witted , outgoing young woman. I lose the argueing and triangles, and bring back the wit, chemistry, and charm about their relationship. @ the end Peter would formally propose and she would except.

In the midst of all that Peter would have to deal with the Lizard and Kraven.

They get married and conver to Jewism:lmao: yea Justin...Jewism:lmao:

I actually like Mega Joe's idea. Let them experience other things being apart and sorting out their differences like MJ trying to establish her career somewhere. Then ultimately in a sixth movie they find after reaching their goals and accomplishments through it all they find that they truly belong with one another and get married to finish off the series. Then they can reboot this thing. A happy ending for all six movies.

I say go with marriage. It just cheapens what has come before to break them off to delay the inevitable and out of character for them. Or if they just make her window dressing (which at the end of the day is what the fanboys really want) the movies will become a lot duller and stand apart (unfavorably) to Raimi's previous ones.

Then SM4 should be the last if they do a marriage... BUT... no one wants to see MJ b****ing and moaning on the side lines for 3 more films... I say just give MJ a small ass role in SM4... make her go to L.A or some sh:t fifteen minutes into the film... have her appear in the film every 30 minutes or so here and there via phone calls to Peter with the split screen and all... let Peter and Gwen hook up as they try to save Conners together... MJ finds out... declines Pete's marriage proposal at the end...

Then have Mysterio be the villain in SM5 with Quentin Beck in charge of the visual effects in an upcoming movie being made within SM5... MJ is the lead actress in the new film and is slowly opening up to different guys which makes Peter jealous.... Pete decides to whoo MJ and test his new found acting skills after he is fired permanently by Jameson. The director tells Peter he can't act for sh:t but asks him if he can request Spiderman to star in the director's new film gig since Beck's visual effects were crappy as hell and they wanted to use something more realistic for the film... Peter agrees reluctantly but doesn't tell MJ... finally when Spiderman shows up on the set (and Beck is fired subsequently now that Spiderman is in the film)... MJ walks off the set in disgust and quits the gig... so they reshoot the damsel in distress scene and replace MJ with Felicia Hardy... Peter shoots the scene as Spiderman with Felicia just for the money... Felicia decides she likes her new co-star and convinces Peter to do more scenes with her in the future... and you get the point...

Nailed it.

MJ's subplot could be about her acceptance of Peter's dual identity, which would work nicely with a "Kraven's Last Hunt" type of story.
