What should i do!? not about a girl

Recently my dog has chewed up everything valuable in my room. I did a price check and the items have amounted to over a 150$ He knocked over the child fence i got for this exact reason. What should i do to my dog? He is a chihuaha he's barely a year and i don't know how to train him about chewing things? I don't want to physically abuse him either, sort of, but animal rights and so on

Make him pay for everything he's broken plus an extra 50% as a future deterrent. Or you could research other humane methods of training. This shouldn't be too different from teaching the dog not to commit general felonies eg leaving the baby alone, doing its duty outdoors etc.
