Recently my dog has chewed up everything valuable in my room. I did a price check and the items have amounted to over a 150$ He knocked over the child fence i got for this exact reason. What should i do to my dog? He is a chihuaha he's barely a year and i don't know how to train him about chewing things? I don't want to physically abuse him either, sort of, but animal rights and so on:o

Take him to a dog trainer. Or buy a dog training book.

$150? be wow!

close the door, and if you dont have one get one.

There are probably many tranining techniques but you need the time to adminster them to the dog (i.e. water gun to the face, stern telling him "No" discipline).

Do more than just, "We've tried nothing and that ain't working" routine.

I don't think Lucy is Asian.

Rolled up newspaper to the snout always works.

Water gun to the face?

I heard that works on cats and dogs as a form of discipline.

Make him pay for everything he's broken plus an extra 50% as a future deterrent. Or you could research other humane methods of training. This shouldn't be too different from teaching the dog not to commit general felonies eg leaving the baby alone, doing its duty outdoors etc.

Thanks, I might try it on my brother
Staple guns are more effective and use up a less valuable resource.

Water from the tap costs more than staples?

No, I just dislike seeing staple guns neglected.

It doesn't. Same as with a bop to their nose. None of those tricks work. They just make your pet look at you and think, "What......are you really that fn stupid?!"

Scream in his face, they like it.

If they decide to look at you while you're screaming, they'll still have that same thought in their head and then go back to whatever they were doing before.

say no sternly making sure he is looking at you with full attention.. then give him a proper dog chew toy or dog bone to chew .. patience is a virtue
