Maby ur just a fan of Ultimate Venom only, which might explain your lack of appreciation for the real Venom
I'd expect it from the Lizard and Doc Oc fans, but most Ult Venom fans would defend the preservation of 616 Venom too....
Anyway it doesn't matter, the symbiot is returning to Brock around the time SM3 comes out

fact is..i've denied as much as i could but i can't anymore...616 Venom has been written like crap for at least the last 10 years
Venom NEVER reached the same high that he had when he first came out
the writers ran out of things to do with Eddie, so in an attempt to refresh Venom, they changed the symbiote's ownership
plus they've retconned the hell out of him, what with all this crap about the symbiote feeding off of Eddie's cancer
Venom has hit a dead end, and it hasn't been from the character, but rather from bad writing

Most of that crap was in the 90's, home of the clone saga lol
With the rebirth of Brock's Venom will hopefully come a new respect for the character as well as many classic stories that will do Venom justice....
Even spiderman as a character has been mistreated in recent stories but I can already tell that the stories are getting much better.... hopefully the same will happen for Venom...... and the return of Carnage couldn't hurt either lol

i don't know...Carnage is more one-dimensional than Venom
at least with Venom, Eddie has motives and goals
Carnage was just....he was good as a villain, but he's nothing compared to Venom or GG or Doc Ock

Still, he has been built up into a great villain as Brock since his creation,

and my point is that I like the scorpion as a villain and I like Venom as one too, but there are other ways to revive Venom than to combine these two

True there are different ways of doing everything.
For every one way something is done, there is another option.
However I can’t see why the Venom/Scorpion merger has irked many a fan of the two villains.
It’s really just a bit of fun until (unfortunately) Brock returns as Venom.
So unless you are a very particular type of Mac Gargan fan, as in hardcore old school, I find it hard to see why some get narked at the current Venom.

One of the profile shots of Venom looked real weird. He resembled a paper bag with a face painted on.
