I've heard several of Captain America's (former) allies are going to beat him unconcious and SHIELD is going to arrest him on national television...

Seriously.

It's then that Peter will begin to turn on Stark, as Peter has a serious case of "hero worship" in regards to Cap. Dozens of the more "underground" heroes will witness the live coverage of the governments beat-down of the Living Legend Of WWII, and begin to rally around Cap...(MoonKnight, Cable, Punisher, etc.,...)

If that happens and Spidey in turn leads the anti-registration team in place of cap, and really, i mean really kicks some a**, and switches back to his red n blues, breaks cap out, and stands by caps side as one the premier heroes in the MU, THEN and only then it would redeem any unmaskings/iron suits/eye gouges/deaths/spider totems/tony's sidekick/and all other wrongdoings they have done to the character.

And of course, they would also have to include a segement at the end of civil war where pete goes to dr. strange and has him "mind-wipe" the general public of any knowledge of him being spider-man.

For sure. They would have to do some major Spider-man stuff to redeem any kind of unmasking.

Who's they and why do they have to redeem anything?

Writers. If they unmask Spidey they should at least give him a HUGE part in the "civil war." If they're gonna unmask him they should at least give us alot of Spidey action

Ah, I see. You make it seem like the writers are punishing you by making Spider-Man unmask.

They would be Marvel writers/editorial staff/thinkpool.
Why do they have to redeem anything? BC they're responsible for such acts of comiccrimes as Sins Past, House Of M, and The Other, all the while asking us, the victims of these crimes to stay faithful. And as one of the faithful who doesn't agree with the unmasking but is willing to stick around and buy the book(s) anyways, i'd say we're entitled to alittle redemption.

They punish all readers if they don't build off of it enough. After "the other" I felt that the reason I didn't like it so much is because afterwards there was very little written about his new powers. I just hope that if they unmask him then it will create a REALLY big impact on Spider-man.

It's getting hard to keep up with these spidey unmasking discussions, i feel like i'm on a million different threads.

Can't argue that some Spidey fans deserve a little redemption in their comics. But as one of the faithful who has been looking forward to this storyline idea, I'm entitled to my redemption as a Spider-Man fan too.

Like sitting through Ben Reilly's death even though I liked the clone and everybody else didn't. Like sitting through a comic that said that the Aunt May who died in ASM # 400 was really an actor and the real one was held captive by Norman Osborn.

Yes, I'd like a little redemption in my Spidey comics as well. But I'm not going to get that. And I wouldn't count on yours either...but it's a lot more possible than my redemption. :(

Cheers to Ben Reily. I loved his character. After letting the whole unmasking thing set in, I'm not to concerned about it anymore. If I want to read Spidey with his secret identity I still have the other 532 other Amazing (plus hundreds of other Spider-man books) to read.

And you have Ultimate Spider-Man as well.

I love that series. Especially the way they do Kingpin. It's a good way to get away from all the other crap going on.

Yeah, the interaction between Spidey and Kingpin in the USM series is the best.

None done better. I was a big GG, Venom, Hobgoblin fan in the 616 line. But I gotta say Kingpin is without a doubt the best villan in Ultimate Spider-man. They bring the best out of each other.
