The Amazing Spider-Man What villain or villains would you like to see them kick start the reboot with? Part

I liked how the goblins continued to be a threat throught the film series, i liked that some 2 to 2 films would follow the goblin legacy.

I'm not buying into the whole proto goblin until they confirm it. I think the guy is uncle bens killer.

^^ The Proto-Goblin talk has been shot down by Irrfahn himself. He pretty much said he doesn't want to play a beast (or something like that).

I thought it was confirmed that Khan's character was one of the people who was responsible for the death of Peter's parents, used mainly in flashback scenes.

That would probably explain his "pivotal role" too.

I'm not expecting him to have a huge role, or even play some kind of a supervillain. But the plot outline that got released told us that the story will have some degree of focus on Peter's birth parents. (Which I think is stupid and needless, but that's irrelevant.) The outline tells us that Khan's character works for Norman Osborn, who is tied into the death of Peter's parents, who are spies. (Which I think is stupid and needless, but that's irrelevant.)

I hope they plan to use the Scorpion sometime. I always liked him and the Vulture. They need JJJ for the Scorpion though.

Man, been a while since I've been here. Guys you're sticking with villains we've seen. How about something unpredictable? Why not next movie, jump straight into symbiotes, and haven Carnage and Venom team up?

The one villain I've always anticipated is carnage.

Carnage? Avi was right: ZIT IZ A ****INUATION!

In order to introduce Carnage they need to introduce Venom, and it's difficult to introduce him in a good way, with the Secret Wars and all. I thought they handled it pretty well in Spider-Man 3. Well, the origin at least.

If they re-do Venom storyline, I really want to see Jameson jr bring it from outer space. Or if they would spice it up with some ultimate... here's what I imagined:
Symbiote gets found from a planet (or moon maybe?) and they bring it back to earth. The goverment wants that a scientest Richard Parker studied the symbiote. After a while Parker discovers that the symbiote has amazing healing abilities and belives that it could be a possible cure for cancer. After some tests with great results they deside to test it with a human. In the test the symbiote kills the guy and the goverment desides to get the symbiote to area 51. But Parker secretly steals a part of the symbiote and tries to continue his research. After a while he desides to stop the research and hides the symbiote in a secret locker in the very lab he was working in. And later Peter discovers that secret locker...

If Van Adder (or Van Atter whatever they're calling him now) is not the Proto-Goblin, I don't see how he will be any sort of match against Spider-Man. Then again, they can't introduce Proto-Goblin without introducing Norman Osborn, and by extension the Green Goblin.

He could, as others have said, be connected to the death of Peter's parents. Not every villain has to physically battle the hero you know.

In my opinion that still doesn't make him a villain, unless he outright murdered them or is responsible for their deaths.

So kind of like a "ruining your life behind the scenes" guy. Interesting for a change, I guess.

He could also become physically enhanced big time without turning into a monster like Proto-Goblin. So he could still be a physical threat. No one knows anything about what this character will turn out to be yet.
