The Amazing Spider-Man What villain or villains would you like to see them kick start the reboot with? Part

I'm probably the only one here... but is anybody else hoping for the symbiote suit storyline? I don't mean in this one, I mean perhaps in the sequel, which could set up Venom as the main villain for the third.

Green goblin should be the main villain of the first 3 films, while they could use venom in probably the 4th or 5th film, maybe both.

I don't have to see Venom for a while after the terrible appearance in Spider-Man 3. It takes a lot of storytelling and planning to introduce him properly, so if they're ever gonna use him, they better do it right.

^ but why? since the goblin was never done properly and truthfully, and yet he has more potential than even the joker if done right

I agree with that. The Green Goblin is one of the most insane and one of the most important villains out there. His role is actually really too big to be done properly in one movie, especially if you also have to show the origins of Spider-Man in that same movie.

^the whole concept of having a flying goblin in the skies of new york throwing fiery pumpkins is so damn insane and cool, but it must be done properly, make him ridiculous as his entire existence, but use it to justify that insanity.. if someone really devotes to this character and explores all his possibilities and aspects he can be one of the best villains of all time, just as the joker has become.

I'm pretty sure Sony is going to put Venom in at least one of these movies.

That's just as bad as having Lex Luthor as the villain in all 5 Superman films

I would only enjoy the presence of the Green Goblin because it could potentially lead to the Hobgoblin. Maybe Gobby's more important to the mythos, but Hobgoblin was the one I grew up with because of the '90s series switcheroo. Besides that connection, I'm more interested in seeing new takes on more of Spidey's classic rogues gallery, such as the Vulture (for some great aerial battles) or Electro, before Norman ever comes back in any pumpkin toting capacity.

I would love to see Green Goblin again, but I would prefer that his story be told through Norman 1st and then he makes that transformation in part 2 or in a 3rd film, sort of like the rise and fall of Norman Osbourne into this crazed maniac

Three more films of seeing the same villain we have seen in the past trilogy is BEYOND overkill. Sure, he has plenty of potential, but there are a numerous amount of villains in Spider-Man's rogues gallery worthy of being on the big screen. I LOVE GG as much as the next guy, but we can't be selfish. :word:

With that being said, I would want...
Film 1: Just Lizard so we can focus on Spidey's great supporting cast and school dynamic.

Film 2: Kraven and take strands from Kraven's Last Hunt. No genetically enhanced Kraven, please. I think Chameleon could be used as well, but don't reveal his doings until the very end. It will manage to keep the audience on their toes.

Film 3: The Green Goblin- Take strands from The Night Gwen Stacy Died. Possibly throw in The Spider Slayers as the workings of Oscorp Industries ( I can see this being very likely with the whole Transformers popularity).

^I like that. But I'd switch Kraven and Chameleon for Mysterio and Scorpion instead in part two.

I'd maybe have Chameleon have a secondary role in the third movie (with Green Goblin as main).

Meh I don't think Chameleon would fit in very well. He's not that strong and not very interesting to watch unless he's involved in a big complicated plot or conspiracy.

i think it would make more sense to have both Kraven and Chameleon in the same film

Actually the Chameleon is very interesting to watch. Have you ever seen the movie Darkman? The Chameleon is very similar to the hero in that movie.

i think Chameleon and Mysterio would make a sick duo. a bunch of mind games for Spider-Man

Well I would start off with Chameleon, Rhino, Silver Sable, Norman, and a number of Bosses, to open the film. I would of course touch on Pete's parents and how it relates to Chameleon and Bosses...a prequel to the Gang Wars, that would definitely change Peter/Spidey life and the way super villains are brought about.

Goblin and Venom should definelty make appearances in this series. I thought Goblin was done well in Raimi's series(despite the costume),but could be so much better. And Venom,of course, deserves a second chance for being screwed over like he was in 3. Out of Spidey's top villians,Ock is the only one,in my opinion that doesn't need to be in this series. I mean,I'd love to see him again, sure, but he was done so well in Spider-man 2 that Molina kinda set the standard for me. I'd love to see Goblin in part 2 while Norman is set up as a character in this upcoming reboot. And Brock should make his appearance in part 2,the symbiote in 3 and Venom in part 4.

I also liked Doc Ock in Spidey 2, especially how they made him a good guy in the end. Nice touch, although a bit cheesy when compared to his earlier crimes.
