1. Phase 2 is not over.

2. Assuming that I won't like Ant Man more (I care so little about it that I may just wait for the DVD...a first for the MCU for me)...then my vote goes to Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

3. I just realized that the only films I even liked from Phase 2 were The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Hard to choose between TWS and GOTG. They are very different kinds of films and both executed what they were trying to achieve.

AOU was decent. IM3 was average. Thor DW was trash

Phase 2 has been a blast for me. 4 out of the 5 were great. Overall, Phase 2 is much stronger than Phase 1.

It was too hard to choose between Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy, so I didn't vote. 2014 is definitely going to be remembered as a huge year for Marvel.

I still think I like phase 1 slightly better than phase 2. Phase 1 had 3 great ones and 3 good ones. Phase 2 so far has 2 great ones(AoU and Cap2) and 3 good ones. Waiting to see if Ant-man tips the scale but even if it's great that'd just make for a tie. It's hard to imagine phase 2 coming out on top at this point. Ant-Man wouldn't just have to be great, it'd have to be the best MCU movie(and thus the best comic book movie) to date. I'm expecting it to be at least good but that's a tall order to trump IM1 for me.

I fell asleep in the last battle of Thor and I kind of despise Iron Man 3 for the Mandarin. Guardians was definitely the most fun and I might need to watch Ultron again. I had my 2 year old and my 4 month year old while watching the movie and they were both pretty restless at some point that I didn't get to fully enjoy the movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy for me. Growing up cosmic marvel was always my favorite and GOTG was so good and it really opens the door for the cosmic side of marvel. I must say that I really thought Winter Soldier was amazing as well but Guardians beats it out for me personally. All of the MCU has been enjoyable and I gotta say it's been awesome to see all of these characters come to life and I never would of thought we would have a cinematic universe. I'm just sitting back and enjoying the ride.

Guardians at the top. It succeeds on its own term and it embraces the genre.

The flaws are negligible at worst.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Not only the best of Phase 2 but in my opinion one of the best comic book movies since The Dark Knight.

Age of Ultron would be second for me right now. I've only watched it once though and I usually need several rewatches to make up my mind. It was a blast though.

Guardians of the Galaxy, another great comic book movie that's not deep or thought provoking in any way but nevertheless has a tight package of humour and heart. It takes the third spot in a great later half of Marvel's phase 2. For me, these top 3 of Phase 2 are some of the best comic book movies lately.


Iron Man 3 gets fourth place but doesn't compete in the same league as the top 3. The quality difference between top 3 and lower 2 is big. Iron Man 3 is to me mediocre at best and can't even be compared to Iron Man 1.

Thor: The Dark World is definitely the worst film of Phase 2 and tied with Iron Man 2 as Marvel Studios' worst film by far.


I expect Ant-Man to be below Guardians of the Galaxy and above Iron Man 3. It looks great as far as I have seen, but trailers can be deceiving.

I know TWS is going to win this poll, but I still prefer Guardians of the Galaxy. It is just so much fun and it never gets old for me, no matter how many times I watch it.

I think the masses will in general find GOTG more appealing, while superhero fans, such as those on this site, will generally like TWS more. It's really just a matter of taste, as they are both great IMO.

I have like, 0 interest in Antman. None whatsoever. The trailer didn't intrigue me in the slightest. I'll probably check it out when it comes on Netflix, but, I think I am going to skip this one in the theaters.

For me, the more I hear about Ant-Man, the more intrigued by it I am. I am for sure planning to see it.
