Apparently, they're planing to put Gambit of all people in it. Which really makes no freaking sense since the guy's only good for angst with Rogue and she isn't even in it.

I'm no so sure about that. The execs have said they're including some fan favorites who didn't make it into X-3.

I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow fit Gambit into the story. That would kinda suck, but they know he's a huge marketing tool which could add to Wolverine's success.

Gambit has his fans... and with X-4 looking sketchy at best the execs are probably just trying to give those fans a little bonus. No one said it'd be a huge scene.

I agree that Gambit does NOT belong in the Wolverine: Origins movie. I mean we're talking about Wolvie's Origin and Gambit has NOTHING to do with that. Timeline just doesn't make sense to have Gambit in this movie.

I would love to see Gambit......... but not in this movie. In X4 sure....... if they do an X4. But I'd rather not see him at all then him be in Wolverine.

I dunno, theres potential. It's not like the two characters don't have a rapport in the comics, even though it's often ignored these days since Gambit's been wussified so much. This could be their way of establishing the character so they can bring him into X-4(since if they intro him in X-4 he'll immediately be consumed by Romy and end up doing nothing else)

That, and it's not like the movies have to directly mirror the comics in terms of continuity... Who says that Gambit can't show up in Wolverine's past? It's not like they'd have the character play some huge role in Logan's backstory. He'd just be like a sidekick/ally type.

Well, like I said, there's really no need for the movies to follow comic continuity at this point. They've already changed so much that the films are their own little universe. So Why can't Gambit be a character that's around at the time of Wolverine's "youth?"

Because that means Gambit would be dead by now and there would be no chance of him ever being in a future x-men movie?

That would be a major mess up and dissapointment to any X-Men fans. Trying to show that Gambit was in Wolverine's past would prove that he'd be dead quite possibly before Prof. X ever FORMED the X-Men.

Besides, just cause they're filming in New Orleans doesn't mean Gambit will be in this movie..........
