BB2 will be lucky to make it in the top 3 IMO, Narnia and HP will beat it for sure, Indy could be huge but i dont really get why he's so popular, it could be a hit or miss, Avatar will be huge. Wolverine will not be close to any of these movies.

BB2 havving the most votes just goes to confirm what i thought, that on hype BO polls fanboys don't vote objectively and sensibly:(

^Exactly.

BB2 will not top Harry Potter or Narnia. Depending on if Indiana Jones is released, that could top Batman as well. I'm sure there will be a surprise in there as well. Top 5 for sure with a take of $230m - $250m more than likely.

wow is this early..

indiana jones 4 and jurassic park 4 shouldnt even be on there as they will not get made.itll be either potter, batman, or narnia 2. those will be years top 3.

batman will be seeing-at the very very least-an xmen sized 33% increase. so look for batman 2 to make roughly 270-280 illion. narnia 2 will break 300 million as will potter.

I definitely think $250M is possible but it won't be number 1 and as you say maybe not even top 5

batman wont be number 1 but is a lock for 250 million.

avatar- 60/230
indiana jones-will not be made
narnia 2 -115/310
wolverine-45/120
batman 2-100/280

This year showed there are no locks anymore,Wolverine could well be a lot higher id they get a good director and Indy 4 is supposed to start shooting next year if Spielberg is right,Avatar has potential but we need to see a trailer first

Indiana Jones 4
On the "Indiana Jones 4" front, Sansweet reveals that David Koepp has been through a couple of drafts and if everything looks good, then pre-production will begin sometimes late this year or early next.

Just a little FYI this was from the comic-con. If it goes into pre-production in early 07 it's surely a 2008 release. Might be a winter release though like LOTR.

Another film that I think is being overlooked for BO might be Where The Wild Things Are. Everyone I know has read and loved this book, so it won't just be for kids, but also for adults that have fond memories of the book.

Now, I DON'T think this movie will in any way win the Box Office war, but I could very easily see it grossing a decent amount and hindering another film depending on it's release date.

I think Harry Potter 6 will be #1 with $284m.

Narnia will be #2 with $268m.

BB2 will get 3rd place with $241m.

The Avatar will have 4th place with $202m.

And IM will be #5 with $198m.

I also doubt Indy 4 and Wolverine will be released earlier than 2009.

the thing is that we don't enough about Avatar to judge anything on it yet. Meanwhile, the rest of the movies are either sequels or spin-offs, so they already have a built in audience in the industry.

batman begins sequal will by far be the best film if it is supposed to be better than batman begins( not that i dont like the others because i like them all and i no they will be killer films and all brilliant however i think batman has the the potential to be an amazing story), however in terms of box office it will be a booming success but wont top narnia, or harry potter simply because they will appeal to a slightly wider fan base i.e except the one or two hip nans without there with their tea and biscuits i doubt the older demographics whilst never the main target would pick physco with green hair and purple suit over icle prince caspian and the cute icle fauns(spells), however in all fairness i believe every choice on there will certainly make the suits just those few millions each richer

Okay, let me start by going on the record and saying that Die Hard 4, Indy 4, and JP 4 will be lucky if they do better than Rocky Balboa in box office sales. The base isn't there for a movie that came out eons ago in movie time. Batman will most likely be the BEST movie of the summer, but making just a little more than Begins. My projected champ will Prince Caspian (Narnia 2) as long as it comes in the winter. If we see that get bumped up, It could very well be Potter. Now if Potter gets a summer date, then it's anyone's game. But here are my projected top 5...
1)Narnia 2
2)Potter
3)Batman
4)007
5)Iron Man

I'm a little sceptical about The Dark Night (as the new title for the Batman-sequel seems to be now). I doubt people in general are that excited about another movie where Batman fights The Joker. For them it probably is just another proof of the lack of new ideas in Hollywood.

I am not going to start new argue, but I should say you something.

1. BB wasn't next dumb summer blockbuster. So I doubt the same will happen with TDK

2. Who is Nolan? I guess you know my answer.

3. They only 2 things, which hurted BB were Batman and Robin and marketing strategy.

4. This time BB2 has BB to follow, so it will be very successful movie.

5. Dont forget about critical success of BB ;)

so, Cine, what are you predicting for BB2?

$241m domesticly and $429m in worldwide.

It will make much more than 1st movie, but I have doubts about making $250m.

I think it will be in TOP3.
