What will be the top grossing film in 2008?

A sequel doesn't always make more than it's previous movies, even better ones. Harry Potter should be out at the end of the year if 5 is being released next summer? It's more likely that a summer movie has the highest gross, at least domestically.

I know, but Narnia 2 won't be as good as was Narnia 1 this time, I mean in box office.

Narnia 2 will make huge opening, but also it won't have so good legs, which Narnia 1 had.

Harry Potter on other hand is 6th movie and if HP5 makes more than $260m, HP6 will be even more huge.

TDK will probably have the best shot; other than that, I'd think about Cameron's 'The Avatar', but I'm not even sure if the release date for that is definitely '08, or if it's '09.

I don't see Iron-man doing over 250 million domestically on its first run, even though I hope that it's good.

The only sure things for mega-blockbuster'dom in this list are Narnia and Potter, all of the others are still up in the air for me.

I have almost no question that The Dark Knight will be awesome, but for it to go past the 'blockbuster' label into the 300+ million range is still no quarantee.

Which in my eyes is wonderful if it reaches that. In my eyes the only goals for movies like this is that they earn enough money to warrant a sequel by the same creative talent, and in this case, I want like 20 more movies like Batman Begins.

I don't want TDK to be total blockbuster, which makes $280m.
