Ok I see all the trusting and nolan worship and wonder is there anything he could do that would put a halt to all that and make the Nolan worshippers re-think their religious devotion?

I'm a member of in nolan I trust too, so don't just think I'm trying to make you question your faith or attacking nolan or some nonsense bs that's probably causing some to pull out their guns.

All I'm wondering is if there's anything this man could do that'd make one jump off the bandwagon.

for me it'd be if he dropped Katie holmes out of Batman Continues (best idea for the next movie's title... ever. Continues Dammit!) I loved her role in begins, i'd hate to see her leave only for some new person to take her place.

Your thoughts?

I wouldnt mind if katie wasnt in it as long as there is a good explanation for it.

I'd stop trusting Nolan if:

1. The Joker'd not be the Joker I like.

2. Ryan Phillips is cast as Dent.

3...Nipples...

Casting Ryan Phillipe would definatley shake my trust. It'd show me that he's going for an interpretation of Dent I dont think i'll particularly like (i'd much prefer an older Harvey), and part of me cares more about how they handle Two-Face than Joker.

Also, finding out Joker wouldn't have a white face, green hair, and red lips would greatly upset me. If he wasn't able to get the basic look of the character down, i'd be worried about what he'd do the character himself. Joker's gotta be the Joker, and he isn't the Joker unless he looks like a clown.

Maybe if the decision to cast Ledger and Phillipe were heavily influenced by studio i'd start to mistrust a little.

Same if the look of the Joker is screwed up.

Well... if it leaks out that Rachel Dawes has a son...... about 10 years old... who has a passion for flying squirrles and other rodents :D...

That'd piss me off a smidge.

i would distrust him if he cast ledger as joker

oh wait:(

i really think he should have cast jude law

There is only 2 things that will make me not trust Nolan direction.

1. Batman the Musical.

2. Bat Nipples.

3. A non-albino-pale and or white faced joker. (If he was wearing a mask or just kinda white, but not freakishly white)

Nipples, The Joker without make-up, Mr. Freeze, Batgirl and Robin.

1. Making the suit anything but black

2. giving him a batjet or batboat or batcycle

3. nipples

4. batgirl or Robin

5. cartoonish villains

6. inconsievable plot twists

I agree,

7. flashing Batmobile

8. Batman smiles (BF)

9. Bat-credit card

"Batjet, Batboat, Batbike"? Why?

My trust in Nolan is already greatly shaken. We narrowly avoided having Scarecrow without even a mask, let alone without his costume. The Batmobile was without a visible bat-motif, and the reports of Joker's role in the sequel being 'small and mysterious' spell very bad things indeed. 'Small and mysterious' is the very opposite to who the Joker is. So, as of now, my trust in Nolan with the ensuing franchise depends on how he handles the Joker character, and it better not be 'small and mysterious'.

Well, I think Joker will be ome of the most important characters, but he will have just not so big part.

Besides, we will see him again in 3rd movie.

If there's one single clue or nod about Robin in the movies.

Waitasec! I have never trusted Nolan.

10. Penguin Army

11. Parade with Floats

12. The city hall only having two polce officers when a mob meeting takes place

13. anticlimatic ending

14. Having a dog catch a batarang

15. Having a computerized batarang

16. Having batman swing safes back into a building

17. A batmobile that can climb walls

18. Neon and balck light gangs

19. alicia silverstone

I think it's all about overexposer. The Joker's greatest flaw as a character is that he is too easy to over use, which exhausts his character. And that is something that needs to be taken into account in a movie in which Batman is the main character.

Thus far I've liked the way Nolan has handled Batman. The Joker is such a huge thing in the Batman universe that they really have to get him right.

It's when the nipples re-appear and the cheese starts flowing that I'll be concerned.

I'll trust him, as long as he keeps treating Batman with the respect and dignity that he deserves.

You make as if he completey watered down everything, and while certain things were grounded, Nolan still created a fantasy, bud. Let go of the Tumbler rant. Honesty, i got over it. And hell, it kicked ass.

In theory, a number of things (making it campy again, etc.), but in practice, I doubt any of them will happen.

Agreed

Keeping him as mysterious character would be much better than the whole movie about his life.
