What would Sony have to do to get you to buy a PS3

I'm on my third PS2. The first didn't last more than a year.

I'm still on my 1st, all I had to do was open it up and blow some dust out the one time it wouldn't play new games.

I tried dusting. Then sent it to the official Sony retailer where I bought the console from. I even took it to a professional repairman to see if there was anything wrong with the lens mechanism or something. Everywhere I sent the damn machine, it always came back "fixed", only it wasn't. Then finally I got fed up and just went and bought a new one.

Kingdom Hearts III won't be getting made for a long time. My guess is at least 3 years into the future. An interview I posted a week or so back pretty much said as much.

I know. Thats what makes me scared that if they do make it, it will be on the PS3.

Funny. None of my PS2's broke for no reason. One I remember dropped off my dresser, and one I let a friend borrow(won't do that again). My last one, however, never had any problems.

What's so funny about it? It's a widely known fact that a lot of gamers got screwed with the PS2 not being able to read discs within a year or two of purchasing the console.

I got my PS2 on a constant overtime contractual agreement. It's not my fault Sony's hardware is too much of a wuss to fulfill the demands of it's owner without breaking down too soon before it's projected life expectancy.

My entertainment area is in a constant state of hospital grade clean.

I am more careful with my electronics equipment than most people would even dream.

The simple fact is, SONY did a **** job on the hardware... Hell, all you have to do is look at what happened when they released the "New and Improved"Slim PS2.

You are in the minority of owners who have had no problems with teh hardware.

And you know what's funny? I don't even take care of my PS2 at all, or rarely. It's often either lying somewhere under my bed, behind or next to it on the floor, I maybe dust it once in a millenium and often carry it around to my friends place. And my scart connenction is really loose.

But it's still working like a charme.

I must have been incredibly lucky. i got a PS2 Christmas 2000 and it hasn't died on me once.

the time when sony would actually tempt me to get a ps3 is if they remake ff7 (doubt it though). but most likely there really aren't that many games in the ps3 that actually interest me.

I've had my ps2 for six years the only issue I have is that now it takes a few seconds longer to load games. I have a friend who is on his third but he can't take care of ****.

I' am buying PS3 for MGS4. Hardcore enough to buy a PS3 to casual to wait outside or pay two thousand dollars for it.

Yeah, mine has been perfect since I bought it, back in 2001.

My launch PS2 still works fine, and it's been through the mill. That's quite a few people who have never had any problems. We're not necessarily the minority.
