    Happy Independence Day, Guest!

What would you like to see in the movie?

Devil's Advocate: Let's say they're literally aliens.

My problem with that is that everything now has friggin' aliens. TMNT's place in pop culture was their introduction of the 'mutant' craze of the 80's and 90's. It makes them special.

Which is.... ******ed. Sure the ooze is an alien substance from another world, but the IDEA of it all is that the turtles are quite literally GENETICALLY ALTERED TURTLES. They are reptiles exposed to this stuff that gives them, along with Splinter, human like qualities. Bay and that other moron who're telling the fans to chill and know what they're doing are throwing on big bulls eye shirts for me to target them easier. I cannot get over how pissed I am this film and that it's going to be made. I'm not looking forward to it at all.

I'm fine with the ooze being of alien origin, but for the love of God not the Turtles. They're mutants.

Michael Bay has a thing for DUMBING these kinds of things for people for society; as a childhood fan, I am not a happy camper with Bay on board.

It's not as though the Turtles as a concept requires dumbing down for people. In fact, making them aliens, who i bet would have been the originators of Ninjitsu on Earth makes it even more complicated.

If anything, Bay tries to make things intelligent and complex... but just utterly, utterly, utterly fails.

I mean did anyone understand the ****ing plot of Dark of the Moon? It was so convoluted and muddled and nonsensical it just became absurd.

Nope But regardless I still walked out of the theater with a smile....I really enjoyed DOTM regardless of its plot troubles...though when IronHide got killed off I wanted to kill Bay :argh:

Bay isn't writing or directing this.

I think some people need to take a deep breath. Hearing from the director and Eastman have put me at ease.

I don't get how Ironhide got shot in the middle of his chest and turned into a mesh of brown debris but when it happened to Optimus and Megatron their bodies were still intact...

Those things are head scratch worthy.

My ultimate problem with Dark of the Moon is... how can you have that many awesome action scenes, but the film is still so utterly boring and seems like it's about 6 hours long? I still can't quite comprehend how that is even possible.

Transformers 2 was guilty of its utter stupidity and meandering plot. Transformers 3 meanders less, but it still meanders for the first act; who cares about Shia trying to get a job. Why the Transformers still side characters only good for action scenes and one-liners?

Well that's exactly it. The whole start of the film with Sam getting a job was an attempt at some thought provoking, intelligent theme about the recession and characterisation for Sam. But the film makers just completely dropped the ball.

Although i gotta say, I did think Malkovich was pretty hilarious. That's pretty much the only comedy that worked for me in the TF films.

I did laugh when Malkovich randomly busted out his photo doing a karate pose.

How about some lesser villains cameo-ing playing a role. Rat King and Baxter Stockman would be two very good candidates.

What I would like to see ;

-The turtles being mutants of course

- A combination of the Mirage mythos with the Fred Wolf toon, with a little Archieverse thrown in.

- The turtles actually using there weapons to off somebody ( they are NINJAS which equal ASSASSINS )

- Shredder not being the main villian, but saved for a later movie.

- A human Bebop and Rocksteady being members of the Purple Dragon Gang and led by Hun.

- brief history of the Foot Clan, and the yoshi/nagi/tang shen triangle

Well, they don't need to go around murdering every villain they come across, but if it's done because it's the only available option, then yeah. Most of them are pretty averse to killing, but maiming is fair game.

Good grief, the crying going on in this board. I'd just like to see Raph pick up Leo and throw him through a brick wall, like he did in the comics. And then Michelangelo to show that he is truly a pretty smart guy. Maybe show case some of his artistic talents.

No, they wouldn't go around murdering every villian, but the early Mirage comics turtles definatley knew how and why they had to use their weapons. They were outsiders, freaks of nature , that would never be accepted in human society, and they were the only ones of their kind. that did what they had to do to survive. Non-of that use your surroundings to subdue your enemy. No corny yo yo tricks or sausage nunchuks. Only a few times would they do the " tie them up and call the cops " thing.

Some actual good fight scenes which the originals didnt have because of the suits.

Actual weapon use.

I hope the rumour about Krang and the Technodrome is true. That would be so awesome :awesome:

It would be really cool to see Krang and the Technodrome. I remember, as a kid, always wondering why those things, as well as Bebop and Rocksteady, weren't in the films. Now I know why, of course, but it seems that they can now do it. I doubt they'll look anything like the Krang and Technodrome from the cartoon, but it would be cool to see how it would be adapted.

I always wanted to see Bebop and Rocksteady on the big screen. Krang and the Technodrome would be amazing as well.

My friend used to do the most awesome Krang impression ever.

"Beebop, Rocksteady, release the Foot Soldiers!"

:funny: Ah man just thinking about it cracks me up.

I wouldnt be surpised if it would look somehting like this in the movie.

I personally wouldn't like to see technodrome, it would be great if this movie would be more grounded and save the grander scale stuff for a sequel. But, I guess that's not gonna happend when we have the alien origin...

Never seen that before. That looks pretty cool. I wouldn't mind something like that being used in the film.
