Okay, here's what I'd like to see (in no particular order):
1. Peter regains his secret identity. I have do doubt this will happen, especially since every unmasking story has emphasized Peter made a mistake by revealing his identity, because having him have an alias of Ben Reilly for a civilain life--while a nice nod and logical under the circumstances--will be too confusing in the long run, and also ever since the unmasking, his spider-sense--one of his most unique powers--is on the fritz because everything is a potential threat now. No way that can be long term.
2. A finish, wrap-up, retconning of the new-age, mystical spider-totem crap--AND NEVER MENTION IT EVER AGAIN. This idea ran it's course long ago and should've ended back in the Book of Ezekiel, but Marvel in it's "widsom" decided to bring all back up again. Once JMS leaves, the whole concept should go with him.
3. Spidey no longer has the Wolverine-esque bone spears, a.k.a. the stingers. Absolutely unnecessary ability when you consider that his fists can do just as effective a job and that we don't need Marvel's flagship character ripping off ANOTHER flagship character.
4. The spider-marriage intact. And certainly not having it end by having MJ die, lose her memory, wind up in a coma, or Spidey sleeping with the Black Cat to get over his funk due to the previous three. And speaking of funk...
5. How about some humor back in the books? Remember when they were actually funny and yet could also manage to be dramatic at the same time?
6. Bring back the Bugle. Considering how one of the best parts of the movies was J. Jonah Jameson, I have yet to understand why Marvel--and especially in Ultimate--has capitalized on this and made more use of his character in the past four years? In fact, start using more of the supporting cast? At least Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is doing that and realizing that Peter's life isn't limited to just MJ and Aunt May.
7. Spider-Man: The End. And no, Reign doesn't--or shouldn't--count. I want Spider-Man: The End along the same level of quality as The Incredible Hulk: The End, with John Romita Sr. or John Romita Jr. on pencils and doing the writing chores--Roger Stern, Tom DeFlaco, or Stan Lee himself.
8. An answer to what those six junction points were mentioned in Jumping the Tracks? We know that Uncle Ben's death was one and Gwen's death was another. What are the other four? And speaking of time travel...
9. No more evil Uncle Ben clones from a parallel universe. No more undead Mysterio, servant of Hell. No more mystical totemistic orgins. No more hanging out eating hot dogs with Loki. No more fighting supernatural villains. Just keep Spidey's adventures to street-level dust-ups with some kooky sci-fi thrown in, although certainly not on the level as say Fantastic Four or Silver Surfer. And finally...
10. Him once again being a solo superhero. Or, if he has to be part of an Avengers team, it shouldn't be where other superheroes become his supporting cast in his flagship title.
