Whats the best way to stop smoking???

I've heard rumour that starting heavier, dirtier drugs is a good way to quit.

Certainly not me. But I don't like that gay smiley :)

I just went cold turkey. It doesn't hurt to exercise or work out as much as you can too. The last thing I want when I return from the gym is a cigarette.

What's the first thing you want?

Ok, but when they've finished, get them to laugh at your misuse of the word 'nativity' lol :D

You may as well just call me Jesus :D

You can blame firefox spell check for that :oldrazz:
apparently "naivity"(naivety)= nativity

Fair play.

It didn't recognise it when I typed it in either  (<-----gay)

Nicotine gum/patches never worked for anyone i've ever known. I stopped smoking by simply not buying any more. Once you get over the physical need to hold a cigarette, it's plain sailing from there. It's a case of breaking the physical habit as much/if not more so than the mental one.

I quit using the patch. (Former pack a day smoker, haven't had a single butt since 2000. :word: ) You just have to treat it like any other medicine and follow all directions from start to finish. It's a gradual process to wean your body off of the nicotine it craves... but most people try it for a few days, assume they're "cured" and stop using it, then soon enough they're smoking again. :csad:

CHANTIX . . . it's a prescription medication; works really great; but it's important to find things to do to keep busy; exercise is a GREAT way to stay motivated . . . all in all it's an uphill battle, but the CHANTIX really helped me; have him ask his doctor about it
