Since we have seen the teaser trailer,I would like to know what the common reaction is from the people who are connected to you(fellow SHH posters). To those of you who have shown it to non GL fans,I know that I am sort of beating over the head, but I can't help it.

Well, my husband's about as average joe as you can get. He loves movies, some superhero movies, but he doesn't read comics.

He thought the trailer was all right. I don't know if he was excited enough to pay $12 for a ticket at the IMAX theater for it on opening weekend, but I know he's at least interested.

My wife thought it looked a little corny and so did i when i first saw the footage. Since then i've seen the HD trailer and most of my complaints regarding the effects are withdrawn. It looks so much better in HD. Hoping to show it to her later and see what she thinks.

Fella in work who's not into comics but into sci-fi absolutely loved it when I showed it to him.

I showed it to my animation class today. Everyone loved it. :)

If I'm Joe Average there's nothing about that trailer that would make me want to see this film. The film could be great no doubt but that trailer does not much to show it.

My mom and sister liked it alot and are definitely interested.

My sister saw it and liked it but was asking if the CGI will be fixed by the time the movie comes out, only because of Hal's eyes at the very end. Sounds like a lot of people in these threads. :woot:

My Mother's (She's in love with Reynolds) reaction: "Cool beans! You should send a picture of Ryan to my phone for my background."

I'm thinking they need to whiten out his eyes a bit, because my friends all said the same thing: He looks..cross-eyed.

You should show them that one pic with a better closeup of him where he doesn't look cross eyed.

It's like the Lucy Liu effect. Certain angle makes her look cross-eyed.

But I'm almost convinced that Sony hasn't even touched his pupils yet because they look like they're contacts. In the center, it's clearly black while in the promotional stuff, his pupils are bluish and cloudy.

I'm curious as to why they didn't use his own eyes since only the mask around them should be CGI. I wonder if they didn't show up well enough when the mask is glowing.

I think they should have just done away with the mask to begin with. Maybe I'll change my mind when we see better footage in a few months but for now it just looks like it's amateurishly photoshopped on his face whenever you pause the screen.

No, I like domino masks in general, so that's why I'm not against it. I think they should have a physical mask instead because it's just wasted man-hours if they CGI it, and it looks fake.

I'm not really a fan of the domino mask to begin with. It's a step up from Superman's glasses disguise but it doesn't take a master detective to realize it's Hal Jordan under that mask. Plus most of the Green Lanterns are show without it and even some of the human GLs lacked it like Stewart and Guy Gardner so I don't really consider it that important to the Green Lantern uniform.

My girlfriend isn't a huge fan of comics, but she says this looks great:)

The consensus is, the fanboys who love the trailer will say all their friends who aren´t fans loved it, and the fanboys who hate the trailer will say all their friends who aren´t fans hated it.

^ yup. The answer will just be an extension of how the poster feels about the trailer.

I haven't asked anyone in real life if they like it or not. All I can say is the general reaction on the web outside of this site has been about 65% negative, and that's a conservative estimate.

I showed it to my brother, he thought it was "okay". I showed it to my friend, and he thought it looked awesome.

Glad you're not joe average.
