The Visible Man by Chuck Klosterman

A serious improvement over Klosterman's first novel, Downtown Owl (all his non-fiction work is gold, though), which had some interesting ideas that didn't always come together as a cohesive whole. This time around, the character and thematic developments are much tighter, making the end result more satisfying. The narrative style was cool too, with the frame of the story being the therapist's notes and interview transcriptions.

"The Art of Walt Disney: From Mickey Mouse to the Magic Kingdoms" by Christopher Finch.

Yeah, it was great. I'm new to the Jack Reacher series and the first book definitely made me eager to read more.

If you like one you'll like them all. Some call it formulaic, I think you get what you expect from the author.

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling

I thought that it was a quick, easy, laugh-out-loud funny read. I'd recommend it for fans of The Office or anyone who is just looking for a lighthearted, simple book to breeze through. No audio book is required since you can't help but hear Mindy's voice while reading it.

Batman:Bruce Wayne-The Road Home
The Forbidden Game
Evergrossed

Novel: Raymond Chandler's The Big Sleep (absolute favourite)
Short-Story: Edgar Allan Poe's The Purloined Letter (another favourite)
Long Poem: Beowulf (the prose translation)
Poem: Wordsworth's Immortality Ode (for class)

Currently re-reading Edith Hamilton's Mythology -- i loved this collection back in the day. I'm thinking about getting the Once and Future King series, any recommendations? Or John Gardner's Grendel?

Ya know, not a month ago I got a nice copy of The Big Sleep that was a tie in for the movie with Elliot Gould in the 70's with him on the cover.

^ i cudnt find an actual copy... so i printed out the PDF because, well, I hate reading novels on my computer. They should seriously consider an adaptation today.

Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl who played with Fire
Currently reading The Girl who kicked the Hornet's Nest

Reading The Perks of Being a Wildflower by Stephen Chbosky.

Terrifying story to relate to as much as I do.

Death By Black Hole and Other Cosmic Quandaries.

- Neil deGrasse Tyson.

On Thursday I hit the used bookstore (4 for a dollar) and filled out all the spots in my Clancy and Ludlum collections as well as a bunch of random other stuff (Mack Bolan, Able Team, Phoenix Force). Even got a couple alternate covers of the same book. Ended up spending $5, going back this week after making a more detailed plan of what exactly I want.

Currently reading The Hunt For Red October. Yes, my Clancy collection was missing that one.

about a third of the way in Left Behind Book 1

i cant seem to read just one book at a time anymore. i'm cycling between wallflower, left behind, and the amber spyglass

I started rereading Left Behind a few months ago but got distracted with the book club I run. Sadly, I only have time enough for one book a month. Currently I'm reading my own book, Cicada Song. I got the proof edition of the paperback this week and I'm reading through it, looking for last minute changes and errors. It's an amazing feeling to actually be holding it in my hand. It's been up as an eBook for a few months now but I'm not into those and this physical paperback is just amazing. Once I finish it in a day or two I'll update it and it should be available for sale on Amazon.com and other places after that. I can't WAIT for that. Then, probably late in the week or early next week, I'll get the proof in for my children's novel.

SUPER Excited right now!

Read it a couple of months ago. Awesome book. One of the few books I went back to a couple of days later to reread it.

Re-reading my John Le Carré collection I lent my uncle over a year ago- he finally decided to give them back.

Finished The Tailor of Panama and I'm on to The Constant Gardener.
