Love seeing another LeCarre fan here. I just finished rereading The Russia House, Absolute Friends, Mission Song and A Most Wanted Man (which I never finished in the first place because the book was stole).

I started rereading Left Behind a few months ago but got distracted with the book club I run. Sadly, I only have time enough for one book a month. Currently I'm reading my own book, Cicada Song. I got the proof edition of the paperback this week and I'm reading through it, looking for last minute changes and errors. It's an amazing feeling to actually be holding it in my hand. It's been up as an eBook for a few months now but I'm not into those and this physical paperback is just amazing. Once I finish it in a day or two I'll update it and it should be available for sale on Amazon.com and other places after that. I can't WAIT for that. Then, probably late in the week or early next week, I'll get the proof in for my children's novel.

SUPER Excited right now!

we can be left behind book buddies :highfive:

there's a thread for the series around here somewhere

Re-reading my John Le Carré collection I lent my uncle over a year ago- he finally decided to give them back.

Finished The Tailor of Panama and I'm on to The Constant Gardener.

Le Carré

Just finished Stuart Neville's trilogy.
Ghosts of Belfast is a must-read.

The City & The City by China Mieville

A little hard to get into initially, but once I got used to the setting and all the weird names of everything, it moved pretty quickly. Mieville does a great job of creating a contemporary fantasy world.

The Life of Audrey Hepburn, Enchantment from Donald SPOTO, Still reading it, it is pretty charming, she was a real lady...

finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower today, third time reading it

The last novel I finished was Ranger's Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan. I had read the second book in the series first two years ago, and it turned me off the series entirely.

I decided to give the series another chance, bought the first book new for $2, and started reading during last week's vacation. I couldn't put it down, and now I'm hooked.

With the renewed interest in movies themed around archery or featuring archers in key roles in movies like Brave, The Avengers and Hunger Games -- I'm surprised MGM/United Artists haven't moved forward with it. I think it could be the next book-turned-film franchise, if done correctly.

1984 by George Orwell.

read a few chapters of The Amber Spyglass today

The Body Lovers by Mickey Spillane, god I love Mike Hammer

The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi

I'm reading Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, so far read 1-220 pages.

finished left behind and 1602, started

X-Men the End Book 1 TPB
The Fault in Our Stars

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

About as good as the first one. The games section isn't quite as exciting because it's kind of familiar, but the further fleshing out of the society makes the series' impact even stronger.

i read the first chapter of The Fault in Our Stars today. like it so far

Jaws by Peter Benchely.

One of those rare instances where I prefer the movie.

Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey

Decent space opera so far.
