Just finished The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

I didn't realize that the last four books I read are movies that are either being made or will be made and will star Shailene Woodley.

I was surprised by The Fault in Our Stars, I expect it to be just alright but it's seriously great. Hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. Speaking of which, I haven't gotten around the Divergent series, will do that soon.

To be honest, it dragged on a bit for me in the first half, but then out of nowhere I found that I couldn't stop reading and it really picked up for me. Maybe its because I went from reading the Divergent series, which is a much different tone and pace, to reading this. But by the time I finished it, I found myself feeling the same way, happy and sad because it is funny and heartbreaking at the same time.

Last book I read was The Perks of Being a Wallflower, I just started 13 Reasons Why.

Just finished the Malazan Book of the Fallen series…took me almost a year to get through all ten books, took a few breaks but oh so well worth my time.

Currently reading Drown by Junot Diaz, but I left my copy at work by accident, so I think I'll move on to This is How You Lose Her in the meantime.

The last one I started was "The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome", by Tony Attwood.

The last one I finished was "Michael Jackson: Conspiracy", by Aphrodite Jones.

I'm about to read The Millionaires by Brad Meltzer again.

Also, the international book fair is here this week. So, I should be able to find something new and interesting :)

My daughter bought me two Dexter books by Jeff Lindsay. The 1st and 3rd in the series.

I'm a big fan of the recently finished TV show (see my avatar!)
You can't really see, but I am in a full on Dexter stalking outfit!

Despite there being quite a few differences between book and screen. It is nice to see how much of the Dexter world remained intact for the transition.

The thing is though, something quite major happened to one of the characters between book 1 and 3. So I just had to grab a copy of number 2 to find out.

All I can say is
Poor old Doakes!
I'm very much looking forward to completing my collection by getting the other 3 novels. I hope more are written.

EDIT
Just found out a seventh book was published in September this year. Yay! \o/

I do like how Jeff Lindsay does not forget what he does with Dex and Co. as the books progress.

that was one of my favorite reads last year, i've gotten at least 3 people to read it and they've all enjoyed it

i've read Perks at least 4 times.

13 reasons why was sad, it really made me think of how something we do that seems so insignificant can truly mold someone's life in ways we never thought. i heard this was rumored to become a movie so that could be interesting

The Skull Ring ~ Scott Nicholson

Starting Alex Cross, Run by Patterson

I will be receiving the fourth book in the Dexter series today, "Dexter by Design"

Hoping that I will get it read over this weekend.

Killer's Choice -- Ed McBain

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sandereson; a high fantasy adventure with kick ass combat and a deep an intriguing mythology. The book is only the first part of a series dubbed the Stormlight Archive, with the next book being released early next year.
