I'm not generally into fantasy but I really enjoyed this. It has lots of colorful characters, swashbuckling, a mystery steeped in its own mythology and a quest for a legendary sword. The quest is genuinely exciting and the battles are tense. I felt the ending was very touching. Not sure if I should read all the sequels in the series or just cherry pick the better ones.

Redwall was a huge part of my high school years. I loved the series. The TV show is one of very few that truly do a book justice as well. You may also enjoy The Long Patrol by Brian Jaques as well.

I'm currently reading a book called Dead Man's Switch by Sigmund Brouwer. It's quite riveting and very much a plot driven piece.

However the last book I actually finished was the Book of Mark from the Bible. Which is surprisingly a good read, especially if you read it as though it were movie played out in scenes. Lots of violence, controversy, good vs evil.
