Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
6/10
I must say I found it much more enjoyable than the second film...maybe even the best yet...though i thought the story of the first film had a little more depth to it.
Interesting story and I liked how they tied the Transformers history on earth to the space race of the 50's and 60's. REALLY cool that they got certain famous people to play themselves. Also some clever use of archival news footage.
I just wish they had tried harder to get a certain President in the movie to look more like the real one. Not the more recent one to make an appearance
They really toned down the crass humor of Revenge of the Fallen and came up with some great action scenes
Carly was an even bigger excuse to shoot cheesecake than Megan Fox was though. Thats like the only reason she was there. her performance isn't as bad as i thought it would be but jeez she doesn't have much in the rang of facial expressions
Once again most of the Autobots and Decepticons get very little character development. its one thing I've never liked about Bays Transformers movies. Evne tbhe 86 animated movie handled character development better.
And once again there are scenes where its REALLY hard to tell whats goign on. just too much sh** happening at once that looks like a big tornado of metal and fire and I can't tell who is who in a few instances.
Cullen is once again one of the best parts of this series. GREAT as usual. Bays disinformation campaign worked. I thought Shockwave had a much bigger part. Nimoy was also fantastic. So many Star Trek references so little time! It felt good as a fan of Star Trek and Transformers to hear Nimoy and to see him return to the TF fold.
All in all I gotta admit the movie is still loud, sort of dumb, and I hate a lot of what Bay has done with the series but DOTM was fun and much MUCH better than ROTF.
