Narc

This has always been a movie I've thought extremely highly of and I hadn't seen it in a while. What floored me was the very first credit being 'A Julius R Nasso Production', which almost made me struggle to take the film seriously again, until the opening scene began at least.

10/10

Smokin' Aces

Like John Woo had Heroes Shed No Tears as his sandbox, Joe Carnahan has Smokin' Aces, an insane, incoherent mess, but an enjoyable one that helped him iron out his idiosyncrasies. Look out for pre fame Joel Edgerton, Chris Pine and Matthew Fox with an epic mullet stache combo.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

I didn't see the last one in the theaters like I did the other two. I was kind of disappointed in the second movie as there weren't any epic battle scenes like in the first one. I really wish I had seen the 3rd one when it was on the big screen, now. Nice trilogy of movies.

PROJECT X

Project X borrows from every teenagers throw a party when mom and dad go out of town flick ever made.
Think House Party and Risky Business with a little Some Kind of Wonderful mixed in.
Its short on plot and story basically 3 guys Thomas (Thomas Mann), Costa (Oliver Cooper) and J.B.(Jonathan Daniel Brown), plan to gain popularity by throwing a party, and of course chaos ensues.
I usually find the "found footage" gimmick annoying but i loved the voyeur feel this time around. There are a few corny moments, but it makes up for it with some hilarious and original moments. If you missed out on that rave at high school or college because you were cramming for finals or something pop into this party for a little over 80 minutes.
Scale of 1-10 an 8

Project X 1/5

Id give it a zero but The girls were all supermodel hot and it is probably the craziest party on screen so Ill give it some credit. Doesnt change the fact its not funny and horribly written.

Snatch. Awesome. Brad Pitt has his doubters but i think he is amazing as Mickey in this. My second favourite Guy Ritchie film behind Lock, Stock.

Your Highness

I'm beginning to appreciate this movie the more I see it. It's not good ... but for some reason I find it pretty funny. I guess I just love Danny McBride.

Safe House

The critics were wrong about this one. It is predictable but it is still incredibly well made and features good performances by the two leads. I dug way more than I thought I would.

The Machinist... at last!

Yeah, that was pretty awesome.

The Event.

I feel that M Night Shyamalan movies have been getting worse and worse. This was slightly better than Lady in the Water, but nowhere near as good as The Sixth Sense. The last good movie I think he did was Unbreakable. Signs was ok, but I think even this one ranked behind that.

For those of us who grew up on 80's/early 90's action movies there is some gold here. :D 8/10

The Grey

A beautiful, introspective movie. It's gonna take a lot to knock this off my number 1 of 2012 spot.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

It's a crazy, fun movie. I loved it.

Megamind.

Because my sister yelled at me when I watched it without her.

Same here and I have to say it's Liam Neeson's best performance in a long time and that's saying something. Liam Neeson is always great in everything.
