Watched this again after seeing it in the theater and it proves my point that these films are ultimately enjoyable with a packed crowd. Overall it's still a great film, I can't wait to see PA4.

Saw this the other night and was pretty impressed. There were a few overly cartoonish gags* like Haddock belching into the plane engine I could have done without but overall it was a damn cool adventure flick.

*this might be a standard part of the comic strips for all I know

One of my favorite movies ever for a myriad of reasons.

The movies of late 2011 have kind of let me down. Moneyball, 50/50, Midnight in Paris, Hugo, and now Tintin...all were good but none of them really lit up my imagination enough to really love them.

That said, Tintin was probably the most fun of any of them. The art direction, animation, etc. were all suburb - Spielberg did a near perfect job of creating a great world for Tintin to exist in. But plotwise, I felt it could've been a bit tighter and more compelling.

Tropic Thunder, with commentary. It's funny cuz RDJ does the whole thing in character.

Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

Easily the worst of the series and sadly the least entertaining. I'm a huge Freddy nut and bought all of the films and this will be the one I watch the least.

Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, it starts off badly and just devolves into a complete mess. The finale shootout may be the most unintentionally hilarious thing I've ever seen. 3/10
