Desperados

Haha thanks! And indeed we watched Deadfall. Two of my friends and I (who like me, are huge Cage fans) watched it a few weeks ago along with Vampire's Kiss (my second time watching it) and Season of the Witch in one night. Friday nights are Cage nights.
We made a pact to watch all of Nic Cage's films by the end of the semester. We even started a "Nic Cage Lives" and "Nic Cage Dies" lists. Separate lists. The "Dies" list is winning so far.
My Cage rating for Deadfall was a 9 due to Cage dying too soon. After he died, in came Charlie Sheen with a pointless pool table scene and a man with a mechanical claw for a hand... but the glorious moments when Cage is one screen is hilariously entertaining. Some of his best freakout work.
We've watched all of his infamous crazy films though. Now we just gotta work our way up our Netlfix queue. There's even a "Cage Your Queue."![]()

We're also taking advantage of a Blockbuster dollar rental per week.
Very cool man, it's a great idea. Cage is the man.
Speaking of which...
Knowing. Wow, I really, really, really enjoyed this film. Some of the imagery is just mind blowing (tracking shot of the plane crash OMG). Understated but great performance by Cage. Genuinely creepy in parts. Love the ending. I just love the whole concept of this movie. It's cool that the beings that save the chosen ones are ambiguous too. You can believe they are angels, or you can believe they are aliens. Or you can believe they are both.
One of the best sci fi films i've seen in a long time.

I didn't know that was ever considered. A spin-off about Wahlberg's character, maybe?
