The Raid

This was all kinds of awesome. For most people this will be a complete breath of fresh air. For guys like me, who've seen action movies from every corner of the globe, there'll be some familiarity but even so this is like all the great action film makers past and present got together and made a film. If you've ever wanted to see Indonesian Clint Eastwood use filing cabinets to kill with extreme prejudice, see this film. In fact, see this film anyway!

Ah, totally forgot about Zodiac and he was pretty good in Shutter Island as well.

I liked his performance in The Kids Are All Right a lot too, even though I was kind of so-so on the movie as a whole.

One of the more underrated Stephen King adaptations, and imo Bryan Singer's second best film (after the Usual Suspects). McKellen is superb.
