The Fighter.

Probably Bale's best performance of his career. I'v never seen him immerse himself as thoroughly in a film with such heart and emotion.

The Godfather

On the big screen, and wow, my first time that I've really seen it in its entirety without it being on tv. The restoration is great too. And it's just a treat to sit down at the theater with my dad and watch this.

5/5

Great war movie and it has an incredible tracking shot near the end of the film.

Dracula.

While not my favorite of the Universal Monster Movies (The Invisible Man holds that title), it is probably the best example of that rare period of time in which motion pictures were transitioning from silent to full audio. With no musical score to speak of, Dracula often bears similarity to silent films, which also gives the whole production a very eery and haunting feel that only comes from the quiet crackling of deteriorating film.

The Descent. Don't know why it took me this long to see it. But it's awesome. A proper horror movie. ****ing terrifying, and that's not even including the creatures. Just the whole sense of claustrophobia and isolation is what gets me. There is a part in it where they are crawling through this tiny passage and one of the girls gets stuck. She starts freaking out and panicking and so was I! Ahhhhh just thinking about it now gives me the willies.

Avatar: The last Airbender. I love the animated series. But this movie is really bad. No humor, bad story, bad 3D, bad colouring and contrast.

2/10: One for the funny "dance interludes" and one because the sun is shining....:-P

Oldboy 3/5.

I thought it was good, but not great. I loved the beginning, and the last 20 minutes were crazy and unexpected. But everything else inbetween seemed like a giant mess. I feel that if they ever do remake this (I hope not but IF they do) they rework how messy it was. It's a good movie though, just a little overhyped.

6/10...better than some of the DCOM dreck Disney puts out...

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Very nice, almost a children's film because of the Ewoks
