The Running Man (1987)

"I'm not into politics, I'm into survival." Oh the irony of that line...

War Horse: 3.5/5

Pleasantly surprised by this film. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It may be a bit too old fashioned, and occasionally too cheesy, but it does not dampen this overall enjoyable film.

From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
The Descendants

9-9.5/10 for all three.

The second two Bond movies improved on Dr. No, with better villains (Robert Shaw and Gert Frobe were great in their roles) and female leads. Both movies had a great larger-than-life quality; basically grounded in reality, but with the right amount of over-top-elements.

My ticket for The Descendants was bought as soon as I heard Alexander Payne was doing a movie with George Clooney, and it didn't disappoint. Maybe the best I've seen this year, but it might not beat out Moneyball.

The Artist (Third time theatrically)- I love this movie.

The Rite.

Would have been better if it kept up the ambiguous feeling from beginning to end, but still not a bad movie. I'd give it a respectable 7/10.

(Theatrical Cut)

7/10

7/10

I know my rating for The Lion King is unusually low for it. It's a good movie but for some reason I've never been a big fan of it.

The Woman in Black 9/10- great atmosphere, acting and story all around. Definatley a throwback to horror films of the 70s and before.

The Giants of Thessaly (1960)

Ali Baba & The Seven Saracens (1964)

The Giant of Marathon (1959)

Thor & The Amazon Women (1960)

50/50

very good. Joseph Gordon Levitt was great but Rogan was annoying. Angelica Houston was also very good. I thought supporting actress worthy. But hey, who knows why it was ignored. JGL will have his time though.
