10/10

The final battle was epic as hell.

Contraband 7/10 A decent story but I didn't find it interesting until the last half. Overall I was disappointed. It's maybe worth a rental. Also it didn't feel like Ben Foster was used enough. J.K. Simmons was really amusing in the little bit of screen time he had.

The Lucky One 6/10 I saw this with my gf who was really looking forward to it. It was kind of dull and Zak Efron appears kind of robotic at times. I think it was intentional because he was trying to mimic a former soldier but it just looked odd. This isn't my kind of movie so i'm not sure how to rate it but if your into this sort of thing it's not terrible just kind of bland.

Notorious ( 2009) 8/10 I think they did a great job casting and this film might be underrated. It's a decent biopic about Biggie Smalls. It would of been better if Tupac's character didn't come across as one dimensional but that was the only negative for me.

Chicago Overcoat
A Good Old Fashioned Orgy
Catch .44

Just got home from Avengers and OH MY EFFIN GODS it was good! :awesome:

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)

The Avengers. God... damn.

Puny God.

Misery.

Kathy Bates really worked for both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe that she won for the role of Annie Wilkes.

I hope it lives up to the hype. It sucks that I'm with crutches now (broken leg), would love to see this on the big screen (as well as Iron Sky..) but it will have to wait some weeks.

Snow Cake (2006)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448124/

I've never heard of this movie before, but got in to it by a coincidence when flipping channels. Although I missed the first 15 dramatic minutes, a British-Canadian drama with Sigourney Weaver and Alan Rickman got me interested. Carrie-Ann Moss has a role as well.

Weaver/Rickman are absolutely great together, and for me the whole story starts with a bang when Rickman meets Weaver for the first time and as a viewer you realize that Weaver's character is VERY special.

I've always liked Rickman (and I haven't watched more than perhaps 30 mins of those Potter movies, it's way beyond that), and of course Weaver's character steal the show. But here it's also clear that Moss is so much more actress than that Trinity role. I love when the tele all of a sudden surprises you with unknown (to me) pearls like this.

Great little drama flick wich I recommend, since it's both tragic and comic in a good way.

Btw, Spiderman, Mr. Fantastic and Dr. Doom are used in a scrabbles game in a kinda witty way.. :dpf::ff::doom:

I just got around to seeing Drive and Warrior. Both were extremely enjoyable.

The Five-Year Engagement 8/10
