Does anyone know anything about these figures??

c40d_12.JPG

They're apparently made by Bandai (that's what the Ebay listing says) and they're not out yet. Other than that, I know nothing.

Anything? Well one is red and blue, the other is black and white and they both appear to be some kind of asian Spider-man.

they are movie figures done by bandai of japan. they are kinda like sentai heroes which is japanese power rangers but i think these are more articulated. theyre vinyl from what ive heard. i dont think theyre official. that black is so off

edit: heres the real photos. this is better

haven't seen em' before, they are cool, though, they don't look too special. i have to see more pics to make my final judgement.

Thanks, Harry. Yeah, they do kinda look like fancy bootlegs. Black Spidey looks like a cross between him and Venom, but me rikey very much. I just wish they weren't so damned expensive. Imports! AARGH!!

^ Oh they're definitely outta sight! I especially love the comic-inspired spider on black Spidey, but something makes me think that won't be on the production version.

As far as I can tell, these figures are prototypes. If you plan on buying from ebay, be warned. There are 2 figures being released by bandai for the special edition dvd release, but they aren't these figs.

More info coming soon.

Heres the official info;
Bandai Japan will be releasing their first S.I.C. Movie Realization figure based on a non-Japanese character. The character Spider-man. This upcoming set will include a figure of Spider-man and a figure of black Spider-man. Both figures are 1:10 scale (approximately 7" tall).

The base bodies of these figures appear to be the same as the figures from the S.I.C. Hibiki series, giving these versions of Spider-man an extremely muscular upper body.

The S.I.C. Movie Realization Spider-man and Black Spider-man set is to be released in late August for around 5,040yen (approx. $41.50 US).

You can now pre-order these at bigbadtoystore.com for about $50.

Actually, Venom and the Goblin are part of Bandai's "Soul of Hyper-figuration" (way to go Japan!, with the fake words and whatnot) blind-boxed line.

Yes indeed, a Venom in that scale with that amount of detail and articulation would definitely rock the house!

Ok, I just got these in the mail yesterday and they are....pretty sweet. Really, they are no more articulated than the Unleashed figures but the attention to detail is awesome. The thing I love the most about these is the distinctly Japanese vibe to them. Even out of the packaging, you can tell that these are something else. I especially love the alternate "Venom" head for black Spidey. It's not actually Venom, but I think it's a great visual representation of Pete's "dark side" coming out. Truly unique figures and the new pride of my Spidey collection! :venom:
