Wanted to watch CW again before voting, GOTG is still the best for me. CW is very close, but Iron Man being seriously under powered still bothers me in the final battle for me. It doesn't ruin the movie, but brings it down a little for me.

GOTG has a little more heart and is a little more focuses which keeps it on top for me.

Civil War
Guardians of the Galaxy
The Avengers
The Winter Soldier
Iron Man

I should do another poll (Best of the Middle Child) what's the best out of:

Age of Ultron
Thor
Captain America: The First Avenger
Ant-Man
Iron Man 3

But maybe I'll wait until Dr. Strange comes out.

Top 5 for the record:

Guardians Of The Galaxy
The Winter Soldier
The Avengers
Civil War
Iron Man

I should do another poll (Best of the Middle Child) what's the best out of:

Age of Ultron
Thor
Captain America: The First Avenger
Ant-Man
Iron Man 3

But maybe I'll wait until Dr. Strange comes out.

That would be really tough between Ant Man and Thor for me. Thor 1 is the most under rated MCU for me, and I loved Ant Man.

Captain America: Winter Soldier là yêu thích của tôi cho đến nay, Iron Man 2 là yêu thích nhất của tôi. Mặc dù đã có rất nhiều những điều tốt đẹp về nó, quá.

I should do another poll (Best of the Middle Child) what's the best out of:

Age of Ultron
Thor
Captain America: The First Avenger
Ant-Man
Iron Man 3

But maybe I'll wait until Dr. Strange comes out.

Either Age of Ultron or Ant-Man for me

Iron Man 1
Iron Man 2
Iron Man 3
Thor the Dark World
The Incredible Hulk

Age of Ultron
Thor

Ant-Man
Iron Man 3

But maybe I'll wait until Dr. Strange comes out.

Ant-man then Thor and Cap.

Civil War, in my opinion the best Captain America movie, best MCU movie, best Marvel movie, after watching it again this week. Hands. Down.

The Airport fight has three distinct stages and escalates through them all and includes Spider-Man and Giant Man. I could go on about that all day. It's the best action scene in a comic book movie. And the movie is literally stuffed with other action scenes that would be easy contenders for "best" even if the airport scene magically disappeared. And character is apparent through all of them.

And in this movie the Winter Soldier is elevated from a good Terminator-esque villain to now one of my favorite characters in the franchise. In the last film the question was whether or not Bucky Barnes was still in there. In this movie we find out he is, but now the question, what is left of him? The relationship between Bucky and Steve is the crux of The Winter Soldier and Civil War, and in this movie is even richer thanks to the inclusion of Tony Stark.

Of the Top 5 provided I'd rank them as follows, though personally I think only 3 of these would make my top 5.

Captain America: Civil War
Avengers
Winter Soldier
Iron Man
Guardians of the Galaxy

I should do another poll (Best of the Middle Child) what's the best out of:

Age of Ultron
Thor
Captain America: The First Avenger
Ant-Man
Iron Man 3

But maybe I'll wait until Dr. Strange comes out.

I think Dr. Strange could well end up being in the top-tier, especially if we narrow it down to origin movies. I expect it to be just as good if not better than Ant-Man. Much more difficult for me to pick a best or favorite from this 5.

For me Civil War. I found it quite entertaining, and really enjoyed the arc. I also thought Tony and Steve's battle was well-handled. For me it's one of the best superhero films period.

I meant to vote for Guardians, but I accidentally clicked on Civil War, so just, uh, count one of Civil War's votes towards Guardians.

Civil War is a very close second though.

I feel the Avengers is still the greatest achievement. It just has that magic that Whedon can often weave through humor and character interaction. Plus it has the advantage of being the first time these characters all come together, so it just feels more fun all around.

The Russo's are amazing and have a more grounded/real world take on Earth's Mightiest, but it doesn't feel they can capture an audience the way Whedon can when he's on his game.

Gunn feels like a combo of the two, technically superior as a filmmaker like the Russo's, but more whimsical and humorous like Joss.

1) The Avengers (9.5)
2) Winter Soldier (9)
3) Guardians (9)
4) Civil War (9)
5) Iron Man (8)

(keep in mind this is my 5 favorite MCU films to watch now, not on first watch, where Avengers would be right at the top)

5. Winter Soldier - For the action, and some of the 70's tones

4. Guardians - For the creative characters and fantastical settings

3. Iron Man - For the tone

2. Iron Man 2 - For the tone, and Justin Hammer.

1. Thor - For the style, the theatricality, the score, the simple but effective character journey, and the charming romance.

WS > GOTG > AOU > Avengers > IM > Ant Man > TFA = TIH >> IM3 > IM2...

Haven't seen Civil War.
Need to rewatch the Thors.
Previously I would have set them equally with IM. But I'm afraid that may be bias as Thor is my 2nd favorite comic character and I'm just better at blocking out the cringy rom com aspects then other people.
No matter what they should still be above IM3 on my scale.
The rumors I am hearing about Thor 3 are really opening my eyes to how much Disney/Marvel is screwing the mythos over.

I think Winter Soldier has finally knocked Avengers off the top spot for me, but that could change. It's just such a great movie. I feel like there is so much in it, but no scene is wasted, like the Thor bath scene from AoU, for example.
