Civil War, in my opinion the best Captain America movie, best MCU movie, best Marvel movie, after watching it again this week. Hands. Down.
The Airport fight has three distinct stages and escalates through them all and includes Spider-Man and Giant Man. I could go on about that all day. It's
the best action scene in a comic book movie. And the movie is literally stuffed with other action scenes that would be easy contenders for "best" even if the airport scene magically disappeared. And character is apparent through all of them.
And in this movie the Winter Soldier is elevated from a good Terminator-esque villain to now one of my favorite characters in the franchise. In the last film the question was whether or not Bucky Barnes was still in there. In this movie we find out he is, but now the question, what is left of him? The relationship between Bucky and Steve is the crux of The Winter Soldier and Civil War, and in this movie is even richer thanks to the inclusion of Tony Stark.
Of the Top 5 provided I'd rank them as follows, though personally I think only 3 of these would make my top 5.
Captain America: Civil War
Avengers
Winter Soldier
Iron Man
Guardians of the Galaxy
I should do another poll (Best of the Middle Child) what's the best out of:
Age of Ultron
Thor
Captain America: The First Avenger
Ant-Man
Iron Man 3
But maybe I'll wait until Dr. Strange comes out.
I think Dr. Strange could well end up being in the top-tier, especially if we narrow it down to origin movies. I expect it to be just as good if not better than Ant-Man. Much more difficult for me to pick a best or favorite from this 5.
