What's YOUR favourite sandwich?

I believe it's a Kebab you ate, if it is indeed that, they are amazing I miss having that :(

I believe they called it a Gyro, but there's a thin line of difference between the two. The meat was divided in layers, inch of beef, inch of lamb, inch of beef, inch of lamb and so on for about of foot of thickness. They shaved down that and it came off in squares. Most places you get a long strip of lamb or beef, and then the stuff all goes on a flat pita which is then folded over. But they had a huge thick pita pocket which everything went into.

I still eat gyros, but I never like the way they're made. They're very messy, and the mix of meat was always better than just one or the other.

I've had different takes on a gyro, but I'll always love the classic gyro the best. If it's properly seasoned, the classic gyro loaf is a tasty thing.
Then slap on some nice, crispy onions, some fresh tomatoes, and slather on a bunch of tzatziki and you're good to go.

I like tuna. My brother is a big grilled cheese fan. Simple stuff.

Hot ham and pepperoni with swiss cheese and mayo. Simply divine.

Ok then while similar it's not the same at all. Kebab uses a kind of homemade bread you know, not the thin pita thing. Gyro's are a mess but they are very good!

If anyone lives in Lodi, CA or near there. Head to Fiori's Butcher Shop. Best sandwhices I've ever had, hands down.

I get two at a time. :D

Actually, it depends on what country in which you're standing in regards to how close they are. Here's the wiki on them. I didn't know there were so many variations.

Grilled Chicken with Monterrey Jack Cheese with Chipolte sauce on wheat.

Usually Jim's I find them better then Pats or Genos(There World Famous Philly Cheesesteak places for those who don't know.)

Meatball Sub, Roastbeef on wheat, and Gyros.

Honey baked ham and cheeze sandwitch

First off origin of the owrd Sandwich:

The word 'sandwich' for an item of food was possibly named after John Montagu who was the 4th Earl of Sandwich. It is said that in approx.1762, he asked for meat to be served between slices of bread, to avoid interrupting a gambling game.

And for me the best sandwich I ever had was made for me by a cook my family had where she made this special type of Persian kebab in some baked bread with a tomato pesto with some pickles, tomatoes, onions and lettuce.

It was amazing.

Boy, do I miss her cooking :(.

I like the "Who Loves Ya Baby? Meatball" from Disco Subs!
