Whats your longest Marvel comic run?

I have around 4500 - 5000 comics in my collection, but they take up too much room, and the wife keeps nagging me that I need to make space in the office(in case we need to turn it into a nursery  ). So I'm buying more and more TPBs these days than back issues, just for the space thing, plus they are much easier to store, btw I have just under 100 TPBs as well
I think I might have to move to TPBs for books that I'm prepared to wait for.

Vol 2. Daredevil complete

2nd would probably be full run of Invincible.

Wolverine Vol.1 1-4
Wolverine Vol.2 -1-189
Wolverine Vol.3 1-44
Wolverine Origins 1-5

if it does not count when it is seperate volumes, then I would say my Uncanny X-Men 94-477

Uncanny X-men from #1 to #350
 WOW! Very impressed.

Why did you stop at 350? (although it is a nice round number)

That must have cost a few $ unless you're old enough to have bought them when they came out.

Narynan - ASM #27 from the 60s, or from 2000?

vol #1 so, yeah from the 60's. I started collection when I was like 8 years old, first issue I got in the mail was ASM 339. And have went forward and backwards from there. Only missing 16 more issues, and AF 15 for the full run

I did not like a lot of the stuff that was coming out of marvel after the onslaut story and had already stoped buying Spider-man after they made ben reily spider-man and I loved him as scarlet spider and did not care that they made the original but to make him spiderman. Then there was the whole Mutant X crap what they were doing with Punisher I did not like. Marvel was letting me down left and right and then some of the X-Men storys started to waver so I gave up on Marvel books all together.I am only just now getting back in to Marvel books.:marv:

yeah I made the break for 4 years at about the same time. I just couldnt deal with it, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING marvel touched at that time turned into liquid poo. But things seem to be going better now, I must admit. That if the books I love have more poo thrown on them, i swear to god, I bail again. I vote with my wallet.

I liked some of the early 300s but I know a few guys stopped collecting towards the 400s. I'm too much of a completist for my own good. :(

Are you going to keep your collection? I'm going to complete mine some day.

Thats the sensible way to go. Unfortunately I'm afflicted with a must have every issue disease that means I shell out for ****. :( I know it's wrong. :(

I have been selling most of my doubles from back in the 90's I would buy anywere between 2 to 10 copys of some comic books mostly x-books.But I will be keeping at least 1 of each issue. At last count I had over 5275 comic books.

i totally understand, there are times where i feel as though I still do the same thing. i love what they are doing but i still somehow get stuck with my shop stuffing garbage books in my box. oh well

Back in 1983, I had a poor conditioned copy of Uncanny X-Men #1... which at the time, was NOT worth a bunch.... 5 bucks tops.

So I gave it to some X-Men guy for a drive home... :woot: :woot: :woot:

The book was not called "UNCANNY X-MEN" untill issue #142 in the year 1981.Even a poor grade X-MEN #1 from 1963 is worth about $100.Are you sure about the with book you had.

Are you really asking ME that question???

Of course it was X-Men #1 from the 60's... and in 1983, that book was NOT worth $100 in poor condition. Perhaps nowadays, but NOT 23 years ago.

And yes, I'm sure... :whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

The queation was not ment to be rude.Sorry if it sounded that way.But maybee where you are from it was not worth much but I was born in New York City and back in the 1983 I would shop at a comic book store named
Forbidden Planet in Manhatten and they had a copy of X-Men #1 that was in very poor condition the cover was only held on by one staple and tape had yellowing and some water damage and the asking price was $145.00
but they would allways offer to sell it for $120.00or $115.00.But every thing was allways more expensive in Manhatten.
