Definite improvement on Eva, though yeah, she's not ready for the main roster yet by a mile. In addition to concentrating on continuing her training, she might also follow Nikki Bella's development and perhaps emulate her in-ring style as a hot girl who's also really strong and can push smaller girls around with her muscularity. Eva seems to have the same body type as Nikki, and is a little bigger and taller too, so that in-ring working style will suit her.

Eva Marie is green but ok. Her movement was a bit slow and she didn't sell particularly good. Eva needs to be a bit more confident and comfortable in the ring but those things will come with more experience.

Overall it was a fine first match.

Samoa Joe's new theme sounds better than the previous one .

Ballor looked great in a suit while holding the NXT title!

Eva Marie improved some but still not impressed, I opened my eyes but didn't like what I saw

Samoa Joe's new theme is still generic and not that great but definetly better than before

AAA is airing TripleMania on PPV in the US and Canada this year, complete with English commentary. Excellent news. Alberto El Patron and Rey Mysterio will both be there.

Also, NJPW on AXS TV has received a multi-year extension. Apparently both AXS and NJPW are absolutely thrilled with the ratings the show has been getting, which exceed those of Lucha Underground on El Rey.

And Bryan Danielson says he has been cleared to compete by his doctor and feels great, but WWE is worried about getting sued for concussions like the major sports leagues right now:
Bryan stated that a neurologist in Phoenix, who worked for the NFL during SuperBowl weekend, cleared him. However, he thinks that WWE doctors are hesitant to clear him because they are fearful that he will suffer another concussion and they will be liable. He said he feels amazing and is itching to get back into the ring. He admitted that he has no idea when he will receive clearance from WWE doctors.

Bryan also noted that he has 3 years left on his WWE contract and that he has been getting frustrated about not being able to wrestle despite being fully healthy, in his opinion.

So it's pretty much the same situation as Christian finds himself in. They both want to compete but WWE is covering their ass in case of a lawsuit.

I wish they'd just release them if they're not going to use them. They're both grown men and they know as well as anyone the risks involved. Those guys are just too good to leave on the shelf forever.

If they really cared about their safety they wouldn't keep sending them out there with Sheamus (the guy responsible for both of those men's most recent concussions) and his botched brogue kicks.

Dana Brooke is what I hate worse on NXT!

Highlight of Smackdown so far: Owens struggling to drag Rusev out of the corner, shouting "Ah, god, lose some weight!"

Bayley took Evil Emma to Hug-plex City!

Simon Gotch foot attack was funny.

Really liked Vaudvillains new moveset they debuted

Samoa Joe vs Rhyno? When did Full Sail become the Impact Zone?

Not to mention on the Cheap Heat Podcasr, Bryan apparently confirmed that Cena does indeed have backstage power and creative input with his angles more than others

On this day, Booker T defeated Rey Mysterio to win the World Heavyweight Title for the 6th and final time at The Great American Bash 2006. #AllHailKingBooker

I saw the promo and I thought it was good. Matter of fact, I was thoroughly entertained by Smackdown period

Daniel Bryan recently spoke with SportingNews.com's Brian Fritz to promote his new autobiography "YES! My Improbable Journey to the Main Event of WrestleMania." The full interview is at this link. Below are highlights:

The book builds up to your big moment at WrestleMania 30 where you had two matches and became the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, overcoming all of the odds. One of the things mentioned in the narration was how different the WWE would be after that and how things would change. Do you think that moment and yourself, your accomplishments there, have made a change to the WWE?

I honestly don't know. I don't see that much of a change. But I don't know what change people expected. The change was hurt by the fact that shortly after that I got injured and then I had neck surgery and all that kind of stuff. What I did think it did for people was give them hope. That even if you're not the standard person that WWE wants to push to the moon and give all the opportunities to, that if the fans really get behind you, you can still get to the highest level. And I think guys still have that hope. If you're good enough and the people get behind you enough, that can push you past that point that WWE was originally planning to push you to.

Do you with everything you've done that you've won over Vince McMahon?

You know, yes but I don't know to what degree. You know what I mean? Does he think I should ever main event another WrestleMania? I would say probably not. (laughs) It's interesting. I think he likes me, he sees me as a valuable performer. He sees me as someone who makes the company money. But I still don't think he will ever see me as "the guy" in the way he sees John Cena as "the guy" or in the way he potentially sees Roman Reigns as "the guy". To this day, I still don't think he sees me like that.

What was your reaction, and I know you had to comment about this recently on social media, about some interview that said you wouldn't be back wrestling ever again?

Yeah! It was interesting because Brie called me. I was visiting my sister. I was with my sister in Pennsylvania — she lives amongst a bunch of Amish people and Mennonites, stuff like that. Brie calls me and says, "Hey, did you say something about not wrestling again?" And I said no. She goes it's all over my Instagram feed or Twitter feed or whatever it was. I was like huh? She said "do you think WWE released something that said you weren't going to wrestle any more?" I said I don't know, that's crazy that they wouldn't have at least talked to me about it before that. Then I went on my Twitter and checked and there was this fake interview with my hometown Aberdeen, Washington radio station or something like that and the interview never happened. Some people just have too much time on their hands. It was all over my Twitter. I don't put a lot of stock into social media but the nice thing is that something like that comes out and a bunch of people are talking about it that at least you can go on there and squash it and say that's a fake interview. That's not real.

Were you surprised about the comments — I'm not sure if you saw them or not — from Bret Hart when he spoke with Sports Illustrated and he said "he's got the same kind of injury that I had and I don't think he's ever going to wrestle again"?

I wasn't surprised. But different people have different circumstances. His circumstances were different from my circumstances. It's just one of those things where people only know their own reality. That goes for me, it goes for you, it goes for anybody. If you think you know what somebody else is going through, odds are you probably don't. So, it doesn't hurt my feelings he said that. I just think he doesn't know the situation.

How are your neck and your shoulder these days?

My shoulder is great. My shoulder and neck are great. Honestly, I feel amazing. The other day, Monday before Tough Enough, I squatted over, I did several sets at 270 pounds. It's not a lot for a professional athlete as far as 270 pounds for multiple reps. But it's a lot of pressure to be putting on my neck and shoulder and I did it with no problem.

Booker T may have won the belt 6 times, but he'll always be just the 5 Time WCW Champion to me.

That's not surprising, but neither is it automatically a negative thing. In any business, your top performer is going to be able to have more influence on things that someone else in his level. It depends on how he uses it. And if he "nobly" refuses to exercise it, then that power goes to someone else, who might not be as good with it as he would be.

Sometimes wrestlers have creative control in their contracts. Cena probably does.

And as others have pointed out before, if you compare his track record to guys like Hogan, Nash, Michaels and Hart, he has exercised this power with more discretion than other big names of other eras.

Well I won't accuse him of burying guys with his backstage power but I do wonder why his feuds against younger talents are still so damn counterproductive?

Bryan didn't get into any specifics so obviously he didn't state that to try and blame Cena for anything but It leaves a lot to the imagination regardless
