When will "Gargoyles" get its due?

Sean Connery or Gimli would be good as the Scottish gargoyle because let's face it, Ed Asner wasn't really good at doing a Scottish accent.

The other gargoyle voice-actors could return and reprise their roles but as for the humans I'm not sure.

Hudson. His name was Hudson.

Would they use costumes or do them a la Davy Jones? Demona could be...dare I say, hot, with the right actress.

Davy Jones... You couldn't get it looking right in costumes.

hmmmm i just popped in here and found everyone talking about inter species attraction.
wow...wow
i'm going to go hide

i would absolutely love a Gargoyles film. Disney would use the same technology they used to create Davy Jones and it would be a visually kickass movie experience.

considering how Eliza and Xanatos were drawn like their voice actors, if they made a movie Sali Richardson and Jonathan Franks should play them. Also get back the David Keith and the rest of the Gargoyles VA for the movie.

Salli Richardson:

Wow, she is stunning!

Yea i would totally be down to seeing this old toon getting a live action film made on it. But since disney still has the rights to the property they are currently not interested in making a live action film. This has been stated by the creator of the series greg W. at his official blog site.

It also sucks how they screwed the creator with the series too. He had plans for spin-offs and sequels to the show...which we will probably never see.

Unfortunately guys there is very little demand for Gargoyles right now. The DVD's sold poorly and Disney has no plans to finish the series on DVD.

as cool as the cartoon was, it never grew in popularity. I mean, it's not even nostalgic to me. Nor does it have a dedicated cult fan-base either that I know of.

well it does its just not as strong as say transformers or other big toons.

It's an underlooked cartoon series, sadly.

It's like asking for... movie versions of Biker Mice from Mars or Bucky O'Hare (bad examples, I know). I might, I liked those cartoons for what they were, but I realize that some cartoons have never really made it into the 'fanboy' lexicon.

I was really disappointed when the comic book was canceled. It was creator Greg Weisman's new "Season 3" since he left the show after the first episode of season 3, aka the Goliath Chronicles, which were bad. I was really enjoying the comic and having the same writers and artists just made it feel like watching the show again. Also Greg was planning on doing his spinoffs that he original planned for the show also in comic book form, but we only got one of them: Bad Guys.

Gargoyles would be a great movie, the first few episodes could almost be directly transferred and make a great movie.

I haven't been impressed with his American movies but Guillermo del Toro is someone I could see working on the make up and effects. I always like the look of his films it could work for Gargoyles.

With all these childhood cartoon to movie transformations we're getting, why has "Gargoyles" been overlooked? I want "Gargoyles"!

How do you think this move would fare in theatres? Who do you think should direct? I want Zack Snyder to do it. And I don't care who they cast in the roles, just as long as we have Keith David doing Goliath.

Uwe Boll's Gargoyles with Keith David just to please the fans...almost like that crap Transformers with Peter Cullen just to please the fans:o

hell no for uwe boll as a director of gargoyles. Though i wouldnt be against them asking some of the gargoyale voice actors to have a role in a movie. If it was ever to happen that is.

A Gargoyles Live Action movie is pretty inevitable, really. It's only a matter of time.

I missed the Gargoyles first time around but got to loving it when I started watching re-runs of it in recent years. It was just a great mix of so many different things & dare I say it IMO it might have been a little to intelligent for younger kids to understand which could have been a big turn off to some. I would love to see it turned into a live action movie.

what if johnathn frakes(star strek next gen/garyoles) if he directed a live action film. He is a decent director and since he was in the show he could probably give a good adaption of the show.
