over the past couple years there have been tons of people seriously considered for roles in the film, and im just looking up what happened to some of them (mostly unknowns). ill start with superman and lois, and if you know any more, add em!
SUPERMAN
Brendan Frasor
In 2003, it was either him or bomer-both were signed, all ratner n peters had to do was decide who. Ultimatly neither was picked, but since then hes:
-starred in big budget bomb "looney tunes:back in action"
-starred in best picture winning film "crash"
-just turned 38
-basically, at the time he was fresh off mega hit the mummy returns and critical acclaim for the quiet american, but since then 2002 his stars faded quite a bit.
Henry Cavill
He was longtime director McG's favorite and was a fan-fave for the role all the way until Routh's casting, and his name first surfaced in mid 2003. Since then, hes:
-turned 23 last may
-had a minor role in tristan and isolde, a box office dude last year.
-basically, he was another unknown look ed at for the part, and he had the lok down perfectly, and also tested for batman for nolan. But for now, hes amounted to nothing in hollywood.
Matt Bomer
Read Frasors part. Bomer was Ratners favorite choice but w.b. insisted an a star hence frasor. Bomer is only 5'9 so he was considered too short by most despite having the perfect look on his face. Like Cavill, he was an unknown, but his star IS growing somewhat since 2003
-he stared in this past falls minor hit "texas chansaw massacre: the begining"
-had supporting role int eh itfilm "flightplan"
-had a character on hit show "tru calling"
-turned 29 last year
Tom Welling
Hes been rumored for it due to smallville, and was a huge fan fav thjat sparked enormous casting debates. Basically,Welling physically suits the role well, it is just most didnt want him in a movie and some question his acting skillz. since 2004 hes done-
-stared in smallville
-supporting roles in hit film franchise cheaper by the dozen
-stared in minor 2005 hit "the fog"
-basically, once smallville ends, it doesnt look like hell be going anywhere.
LOIS LANE
Mischa Barton
McG's favorite and it girl fo 2003. But shes not a good actress, looks and is very young, and isnt lois like at all. since 2004 shes done
-quit the oc, thus ruining her career
-turned 20 last year
-made several low profile and unprofittable films
-Basically, she isnt rweally going anywhere. hello new tori spelling.
Mia Kershner
Definition of a fan fav. Never officially up for role, but heavily liked by fans. Sincer 2004, shes been in:
-Minor role in the bomb "the black dahlia"
-starred in hit showtime show "the l word"
-turns 32 in 3 weeks
-Basically shes not a total unknown, but she isnt famous though she is damn fine.
Beyonce
One of McGs chouces for thr roles...it was rumored w.b. had welling n beyonce drawn together as supes/lois respectivly by a comic artist but it just a rumor. since 2002-2003 she has
-become a major solo singing star with hits like "crazy in love" and "irreplaceable"
-starred in hit film "dreamgirls" and recieved a golden globe nomination for best actress
-her stars blaring and she looks to have one of hollywoods most flourishing careers as well as biggest bootys. she is smokin, but she woulda blown chunks as a "ghetto" lois lane.
Claire Danes
Long rumored for the role and liked by w.b. after her job in t3. She was up for ti with Mcg, Ratner, McG, and was one of singers 2 finalists. Probably the most talented actress and the original star as rosein titanic, danes career is one the rise too. since 2003 shes done
-majo rhit TERMINATOR 3
-critically acclaimed in steve martins shopgirl
-starred in hit film the family stone.
Basically, her careers is on the rise too, and she looks to have a big 07 with big roles in 3 high profile films for next year,
Keri Russel
was brett ratners choice, she was the star chick known for her funny hair until she cut it. not overly talented, she was gonna be lois.since 2002, she done

-stars alongside actual lois lane kate bosworth in the girl in the park due next year
-basically she isnt a star but is doing better then most actresses who leave the tv shows that made them stars (flockhart, spelling, barton,gillian anderson, ect.)
