The Dark Knight Where does TDK stand among your All-Time Favorite Movies?

Dude, you shouldn't have to explain TMNT the original. It's easily one of the best comic book movies of all-time, and perfectly blended the right amount of mainstream popularity of the Turtles of the time, with the cult and serious roots of the Mirage comics. I like TMNT (1990) than most current comic book movies.

haha yea man the turtles are bad-ass!!!! yea i thought it blended the humour and darkness perfectly. who can forget Mikeys nun-chuku face off with that foot clan bloke, its gotta go down in cinema history!!!
" keep practicing!!"

Man, yall must have grown up with "Raiders" but I didn't think it was a "great" film by any means. I thought Last Crusade was CLEARLY the best and most intelligent and fun movie of the bunch.

Damn I forgot about TMNT, no joke that's the best comic book movie after TDK. Knaves and Reaper are right it blended all the elements perfectly.

I also agree with Bubbagump there has to be a distinction between movies you know are good, and movies that are simply favorite. TMNT has to be a favourite.

FWIW, it's hard for me to put them in an organized list, so i'm just going to name my top 20 in no particular order:

Dark City
The Big Lebowski
The Dark Knight
The Matrix
Clerks
Mallrats
Tron
Spaceballs
Sin City
The Muppet Movie
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder version)
Spirited Away
Akira
Boondock Saints
The Blues Brothers
The Shawshank Redemption
2001: A Space Oddysey

Toys
Princess Mononoke

There are endless honorable mentions, but these are the favories, IMHO.

Toys with Robin Williams? good god man. Dark City is great though I have to see that again.

i'm not really sure yet.

longevity is the key....it's all very well to say something is "the best" and the "the greatest" thing you have ever seen when you have waited for something so long...but how about after 10-15 viewings? will it stand the test of time? i am unsure right now. one thing i do know for sure is that it's in my all time top twenty.

#1 baby!!!:hehe:

Used to be Raiders of the Lost Ark, but...

THINGS CHANGE!:hoboj:

Darkman20

Why thank you, good sir. In my ongoing attempt to compile a top 100, both "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Boogie Nights" are present. Both excellent films.

Magnolia is so epic.

"Respect the ****."

Indeed it is. "Magnolia has been all but unbeatable, standing tall and mighty as my favourite film for the best part of this decade, pretty much consistently, save for the odd challenge from "Jaws". But "The Dark Knight" has dethroned it.

Its up there

Lord of the Rings, KillBills, The Dark Knight, Pans Labrynth, and Empire Strikes back
