I'm torn between Imogen and Teresa, but I'm leaning closer to Imogen. Either way I wouldn't mind. Oh and please let it be Gwen!

Ideally IMHO, Imogen Poots would play the beautiful albeit 'girl-next-door' type, Gwen Stacy and Teresa Palmer would be introduced as the more glamorous and flighty Felicia Hardy.

I definitely agree that the series should deal with all Parker's various love-lifes in chronological order which is partly why I suggested Liz Allen, although I appreciate what the subsequent poster stated regarding this film being set in college not high school.

Ideally, I'd love to see some lip-service paid to those early high-school characters including Flash Thompson, although I don't know how they'd fit into that college world bearing in mind that few of them were as academic as Parker.

I mentioned in a different thread that they should make some references to people such as Liz Allen, Betty Brant and Debra Whitman.
I'd like to see Flash have a more active role in this new series.
I didn't hate Raimi's Spider-Man, I liked it, but there were things I wish he did differently.

At first when the reboot was announced, I was absolutely shocked, but being a Spidey fan, I just had to play the waiting game and see what develops. I'll go into this open minded, but faith is being restored for this new direction.

they weren't main characters. actually, Hoffman sorta was. I liked Hoffman though. His scenes were enjoyable and complimented Jonah's personality greatly.

Agreed. I could have done without the 'cake chick' although her Russian landlord dad was funny, but Hoffman made for a great foil to Jonah.

According to Yahoo, Teresa Palmer auditioned last weekend and Emma Roberts has done two auditions. I'm surprised that nothing has been leaked about this. Since Roberts had read twice for the role then apparently they like her...but at the same time...they're bringing in other actresses to try out. So, I guess, she wasn't THAT good. And what about Palmer? Is she gonna do a 2nd round? Where's that guy who leaks info at YouTube when you need him?

All that matters is she isn't good looking enough to be cast as the main love interest in this movie. She is as ugly as Dunst. When Gwen showed up in SM3 it made Dunst look like a guy.

I would not go that fan cuz then that would be a very feminine looking guy, but I totally agree that Bryce totally blew Dunst out of the water. Dunst isnt ugly either, but she was totally wrong for MJ. The only way I can accept her as MJ is if she looked the way she did in SM1. And I agree that that other girl isnt right for either Gwen or MJ, but again, she isnt hideous. I wouldnt want her cast though. Imogen Poots or Teresa Palmer FTW

Imogen Poots. She is pretty but she is not sexy which is perfect for Gwen (assuming its Gwen). She also looks really sweet and kind...and she fits Andrew Garfield. Shes just the best choice out of all of those.

They all could be up for the role of Mary Jane. Do we actually have a short list, but we don't know who she's playing, Sony doesn't like naming who's playing who, if it can keep geeks guessing about the supporting characters.

One of the most important things about Gwen is she has beautiful eyes. I don't know why but Gwen has always striked me as having very beuatiful eyes and Bryce Dallas Howard did.

Imogen Poots has beautiful eyes in my judgement, you can say what you want but I could look in her eyes all day.

Poots seems like she would be a great actress and I've seen bits of her work on YouTube and she seems great, it seems they are going for talent with Garfield and Poots instead of the HSM/ Twilight factor.

I would like to see what Poots looks like with white/ blonde hair though.
