Neither.

SS has great potential to be an incredible epic, smart, scifi fantasy--but we all know Fox isn't interested in making that kind of movie.

FF......just let it go and leave it alone....such wasted potential...the first one was a board room film, the second one was a board room film...guess what the third is likely to be? Yeah so they may losen the purse strings a little and play out more of Story's reins. But this franchise still isn't going to become what is should have been, a live action equivalent of The Incredibles.

Unless Fox gives FF and SS back to Marvel and get rid of Tim Stroy and company, those movies will continue to be turds.

If the time that has passed between 2 and 3 as it did between 1 and 2 I think 3 could be very interessting.

Sue could have given birth to Franklin (and he could be at least five-seven years old.) and his being a mutant with the power to change reality could bring about some interesting villains.

Let´s say that Franklin was watching a monster movie from the fifties or something and he gets inspired. He uses his powers for the first time, by accident, and creates that monster island from the comics. Or what about Mole Man? The monsters could give Ben a good fight and we could finally see him showing off his superstrength in a fight.
Because of the ending of FF2, there is no escaping from Dr Dooms return. He could be interessted in using Franklin for his own ends, making himself invincible (kind of like Onslaught did in the comics, if you remember.)

I think it could work out well in a scripted form. What do you guys think?

there's got to be an FF 3--

Personally, I don't see Puppet Master sustaining an entire film..

I'd rather see the Inhumans with Maximus as the main bad guy..

Absolutely a Fantastic Four movie to complete a trilogy. A Silver Surfer movie would just be boring. It's best that they just appear in the same movie together since I think the Silver Surfer story is best that way.

I say give it like ten years, then redo FF. May sound silly, but so are the Tim Story versions. As for the SS, I see potential, more than a new FF movie, even tho I would perfer to see Doom again, I just don't want to see Doom's image tarnished any more. My vote's for S.S.

I know Chris Evans has doubts about FF3 happening, but still, I'd like to see it happen along with the SS spin-off.

FF3 with the Mole Man and one other villain. (Direct to DVD if necessary.)
I just dread what Fox would churn out and call a Silver Surfer movie. Better the devil you know. We already know how they will screw up an FF film.

Then we can hope that Fox will let the propery go back to Marvel and in 4 or 5 years we get a retooled FF - with the origin alluded to, not another hour-plus wait til we see their powers.

Hell no! A Direct to DVD sequel would just be a complete slap to every fan's face...thats just showing that Fox doesn't even give rat's ass. At least show that you're attempting to give us a decent movie or don't do it at all.
Part of me still wants to see a FF3 (Yes, they are guilty pleasures...I know they're bad but I watch them anyway :hehe: ) but I much more dying to see a reboot by Marvel studios with Paramount!...but no Silver Surfer. Please, leave that beast for Marvel!

I'd rather see FF3. Surfer is cool, but I just don't think that he could last on his own as a solo movie. I'd love for them to make a FF3 and maybe have the villain as Mole Man and just get rid of Doom.

I want both, but I want a real Surfer movie more...Definitely not with Fox aas the producer...they SUCK. Have them as the distributor, since htey are one of the best, though.

Though the special effects in FF2 were pretty good (in relation to the Surfer), I was really bummed that they completely glossed over how he is portrayed as a deep, philosophical character. I'd like to see a SS movie which brought out that more, but I agree Fox would probably screw it up.

As for FF3, I agree with Hypestyle - I thought they were building up to using Puppetmaster as a villain because of the inclusion of Alicia Masters. I think he would be a good villain for such a film.

I am in no hurry to see the Puppet Master in an FF movie. Not that I have anything against him as a villain, I just feel that there are so many more characters who would visually be more interesting than a guy with dolls. If you have to do a story where the FF are made to fight among themselves, the an adaptation of the classic FF#41-43 with the Frightful Four turning Ben against the others would make for a much better film. Please, give Doom a rest; and bring in just about any other villain than the Puppet Master.

I agree with those calling for a break and to have Marvel Studios pick this up a few years down the road.

Just no CGI Thing please.

SS could a more emotional and epic compelling film, compared to FF3 which will have to try and out do the previous two which isn't that hard. Or they can just reboot the entire series The Incredible Hulk style...

I'm not interested in anything to do with F4 or Silver Surfer if they're with Fox. Surfer works so much better when he's connected to a larger Marvel Universe.

Silver Surfer or Gold Surfer if there
