Homecoming Which Avenger would you like in the movie and in what capacity?

Tony Stark.
I wouldn't be surprised if Nick Fury showed up as well.

Does anyone think Nick Fury not showing up in Civil War might because of an appearance in the new Spider-Man? He has two films left on his deal, which of course could mean being in both Infinity War films. This is just a theory of mine. He's also stated that he would be more than welcome to play in more movies. Thoughts?

Either Iron Man or Cap, depending on the outcome of Civil War. I'm not going to assume it has to end the same way the comics storyline did. Whoever's left.

I imagine whoever is the main villain in the movie will do something to attract attention from the Avengers. Spider-Man thinks he has everything under control, but the Avenger(s) who respond to it wants to take care of it himself. Spider-Man and the Avenger(s) take the villain down together, effectively acting as Spidey's "audition" to join the team.

Iron Man, definitely. We need some wonderful RDJ and Spidey back-and-forth.

i am sure they are probably are going to save him for infinity wars, unless between now and when spidey goes in production if he reups his contract. Jackson did say he is in the process of reuping his contract. But he wasnt sure when it be settled yet, and we know he loves marvel and playing fury. So i fully expect to see him make a new deal.

Does Coulson count? I wanna see Spidey talk to Coulson.

My choice is Captain america.Have Spidey flashback to training with Cap throughout the movie
That would be awesome! And a lot more likely than RDJR.
Iron Man. He would fit in as an idolized mentor figure for the scientifically-minded Peter Parker. Of the main Avengers, I think he's the one that Peter meshes with the best.

Daredevil isn't an Avenger so I don't count him as a suitable answer to the question. But yes, I would love to see Daredevil and Spider-Man team up.
Iron man makes sense, I just would rather them not put RDJR in every single movie, and I doubt he could do much without stealing some of spideys spotlight.
Nick Fury!
He would work!
Hulk as a past enemy of Rhino or maybe to help Spidey beat Rhino.
I like Hulk and want more of him, i think it could be interesting to show Banner as a science mentor to spidey, it would be different and would allow to show Banner as more than just a little guy with no confidence.
Does Coulson count? I wanna see Spidey talk to Coulson.
IDK but I would like to see that.
If the TAHITI project was made for a fallen Avenger, then it is used on Coulson... I think he should count as an Avenger.

Also, they will probably acknowledge Coulson now that Joss is out, he seemed to hate the idea of Coulson coming back, even though he was one of the main creators of the TV show of which this is a crucial plot... every day I am more happy he isn't directing for Marvel anymore.

The tv series count as its all apart of the mcu and all thst. We don't need an actual avenger to pop in to the shows to prove it's all the same. And I am sure in time we will see the netflix and shield guys in more of the movies again.

Like I said, especially with Wheadon out the door.

We judt have to remember the main guys are tied to x amount of appearances in there contracts. Ans I am sure they don't want to blow an appearance on shield or netflix just yet. And the thing with shield and netflix shows. We are seeing a different side of the mcu. Then we see in the solo or team films.

1. Daredevil (I know he's not an Avenger :p )
2. The Hulk

I know I'll be the minority opinion but I want Absolutely none.

This should be a 100% Spider-Man movie. Instead of an Avenger or non-Spidey MCU character they should have an actual Spider-Man character, there's so many not yet brought to the screen, rather than bumping that for connectivities sake

It's kind of inevitable.. It's what Sony wants. I just hope that it's someone who fits like Daredevil

I get why it's the way it is. It's he hot thing right now. Just doesn't interest me is all

I meant characters crossing over and the discussion and speculation being about the universe more so than the individual movies and stories. That's the hot thing now

Ohhh. Well let's be honest, it's all about the money. Rdj sells, so stick him in the new reboot. That's the logic they run on

Essentially repeating what I said a page back, heck will freeze over before Robert Downey Jr. appears in one of Sony's solo Spider-Man films.

Well there is plently of ways to have mcu guys in the solo and not out shine over spidey.

I want Cap to be the guy spidey looks up to in Civil War, but I don't want him in the solo movie. There, if any other hero has to make an appearance (which they don't think they do), I would go for Daredevil as another superhero and/or Bruce Banner (not Hulk), as a science guy.

Daredevil and Human Torch (when the rights inevitably revert) are the only heroes who should appear in his solos

I would love to see RDJ's Iron Man in a mentor type role. Though it would be cool to see Spidey and Daredevil face off against Kingpin at some point. Not to mention that Punisher would be a good rival/antagonist at some point and a cool nod to Punisher debut in a Spider-man comic.

No. I think it's more likely that they didn't feel they needed Nick on top of all the other characters they have plus possibly not knowing how/where to use the character in the MCU post TWS.

Personally I would love to see SLJ as a semi-regular guest on SHIELD as opposed to the odd cameo.

Does Coulson count? I wanna see Spidey talk to Coulson.

Yeah. I would love to see Coulson too. Though potentially that may raise the problem with SHIELD since it only seems to reference the films and not the other way around. Not to mention that Coulson is still presumed dead by the Avengers, but I suppose they could either deal with that there or have him and SHIELD under the radar of the other heroes.

Though that sort of thing isn't likely in the near future I wouldn't mind seeing Human Torch (and possibly the rest of the FF) in a Spidey film. Not to mention Iceman and Firestar.
