It was odd how much painstaking detail they showed about Superman's origin while they did nothing to accurately show when Superman got Lois pregnant and how much continuity in Superman II was in its continuity.

exactly. all we knew was that she wrote a prize winning article and got knocked up. Superman seems to think its his despite the existence of the metagene in the DCU.

We have no idea how lois and clark de-aged by 10-15 years either! ;)

Don't get me started on superman returns....first of all, why did Kal El believe earth's astronomers when they told him they saw remnants of Krypton?
The Superman in SR was based from Richard Donnor's series, which means this Superman's telescopic vision is far more superior to any technology the earth has. Moreover, Superman can use the technology of his uber advanced fortress of solitude to scan the sector of where Krypton once existed and he could easily confirm the destruction of his homeworld.
Basically, Superman didn't have to leave earth just to check out Krypton. This is a testament to the piss poor writing and directing of SR.

Also SR takes place roughly around 5 years after Superman II, which was early eighties, maybe around 1983. Which would put SR around the time frame of 1990 (at the latest). So how is it a child was able to take a picture of Superman with his cell phone? Was Superman gone for about 20 years and not 5 years? Speaking of picture, why the heck did Superman stick around and have thousands of people take his picture after he set down that plane? Did Kal El become a glory hound?

Then theres the casting of bosworth as Lois. The most terrible turn of event since the great depression. Bosworth cannot act like an independent, strong, assertive and beautiful pulitzer prize winner. She can only act for high school or early college roles. Did you notice when Superman set down the plane, then when he entered the plane and Lois confronted him. Did you notice how out of place bosworth looked? She looked like she was the daughter of one of the reporters on board; she didn't look like someone with enough experience to be Lois Lane. There is more that I can say about this pathetic movie, but I should refrain from going into further detail.

Jeez, I hate superman returns....and I'm a big Superman fan. But I digress....I do believe that a new Wonder Woman film needs to be made. Than or a reboot of Superman.

As for my casting call for Wonder Woman, you guys are right, but I just wanted to put a couple of hot ladies on the thread.

Why do people think that they can just take any random person who's never acted and put them in magic "acting classes" that imbue them with impeccable acting ability? Seriously, you think it's that easy? You do realize that the second girl you posted is just some random high school girl who had her pictures put on the internet then became famous for no reason, right? For all we know she's camera shy and bad at public speaking, and yet she's the perfect Wonder Woman? COME ON!!!!

Where do you get your research? Are you saying Stokke isn't even an athlete and she is a nobody and her picture is simply posted online? Yes her beauty has caused her to be an internet sensation, but that's because she is an actual athlete with talent. Unfortunately for her, she is getting attention and fame for her body and smile, instead of her athletic ability. In her interviews, she doesn't seem camera shy, in fact she seems fairly confident.
You better check yo' self before you wreck yo' self.

But in retrospect, I agree that a beautiful actress with good acting credentials should play Wonder Woman, and not a beautiful athletic-no acting skilled-lady.

Please, if you go to films, especially on this genre, to look for plot holes, continuity errors and the like, why bother? No film is perfect as far as I know. Not BB, STM, Supes 2, or even TDK. You either enjoy a film or you don't. You sound way too nitpicky. I'm a big Superman fan, and I love SR. I think Singer did a very good job over all. I even like Kate as Lois. She was solid, imo. I wish they made a sequel.

Yea its not likely to be happening now with wb new plans to atless 2013/2015 range. Cause gl/ga possibly for 2010, superman reboot/batman 3 for 2011, and then between 2012/2015 we will then likely get ww/flash and then jla.

People do this to all entertainment.

Comic adaptions, especially A list franchises, mean people have higher expectations.

Agreed.

You either enjoy a film or you don't.

Noticing mistakes in films doesn't mean you can't still like the film though it does make it that much more difficult to do that.

You sound way too nitpicky.

Comic fans act like that. :D

I'm a big Superman fan,

I'm a casual fan.

A sequel or reboot would be fine with me. As long as its good.

GL....WB needs to take advantage of the script people are raving about. Its the DC movie they desperately need.
