Don't get me started on superman returns....first of all, why did Kal El believe earth's astronomers when they told him they saw remnants of Krypton?
The Superman in SR was based from Richard Donnor's series, which means this Superman's telescopic vision is far more superior to any technology the earth has. Moreover, Superman can use the technology of his uber advanced fortress of solitude to scan the sector of where Krypton once existed and he could easily confirm the destruction of his homeworld.
Basically, Superman didn't have to leave earth just to check out Krypton. This is a testament to the piss poor writing and directing of SR.
Also SR takes place roughly around 5 years after Superman II, which was early eighties, maybe around 1983. Which would put SR around the time frame of 1990 (at the latest). So how is it a child was able to take a picture of Superman with his cell phone? Was Superman gone for about 20 years and not 5 years? Speaking of picture, why the heck did Superman stick around and have thousands of people take his picture after he set down that plane? Did Kal El become a glory hound?
Then theres the casting of bosworth as Lois. The most terrible turn of event since the great depression. Bosworth cannot act like an independent, strong, assertive and beautiful pulitzer prize winner. She can only act for high school or early college roles. Did you notice when Superman set down the plane, then when he entered the plane and Lois confronted him. Did you notice how out of place bosworth looked? She looked like she was the daughter of one of the reporters on board; she didn't look like someone with enough experience to be Lois Lane. There is more that I can say about this pathetic movie, but I should refrain from going into further detail.
Jeez, I hate superman returns....and I'm a big Superman fan. But I digress....I do believe that a new Wonder Woman film needs to be made. Than or a reboot of Superman.
As for my casting call for Wonder Woman, you guys are right, but I just wanted to put a couple of hot ladies on the thread.
