If there is an X-4? Which eliminated character (killed or cured) would you bring back.

Cyclops: The famed leader of the team never had his moment to shine in the movies and Marsden not only looks the part but has the acting chops if the writers would only give him something to sink his teeth into.

Jean: I think she should stay dead. She's already been ressurrected once. I had my issues with The Last Stand, but I can accept that she's gone.

Xavier: Yes he's in a new body, but did his powers transfer? Will he return to the mansion?

Sabretooth: He looked cool.

Mystique: She was cured? But was it permanent? She's had a pretty good role the last few movies. I can survive a film without her.

Magneto: He did move that chess piece. However, I think his "cause" is getting tired and a new trilogy requires a new villain and motive.

Rogue: She's cured, but again, permanently? She's had a decent sized role in the last few movies. But if we have Gambit, it would be nice to see them have some witty banter/attraction.

Well let's vote: you can vote for more than one.

Cyclops: James Marsden is hot, so it pains me to say this, but he should stay dead.

Jean: No more resurrections.

Xavier: No, thanks.

Sabretooth: Not worth it.

Mystique: Definitely. She was a key member of the Brotherhood.

Magneto: Definitely. He was the leader of the Brotherhood, and the cure obviously wasn't permanent. He should return to the Brotherhood, and be at odds with the X-Men (led by Storm) until the Sentinels force the Brotherhood and the X-Men to team up at the end of the movie.

Rogue: The most important to my script. She has to return. Rogue is my favorite character in the movies.

Cyclops: I believe that he should come back, but only if they can explain his survival. He is the field leader of the X-Men, you don't expect Storm to run the school with Wolverine.

Jean: I think she should stay dead becuase she played a very big part in the first trilogy and she has all ready come back once.

Professor X: He is in a new body so he has all ready come back but I don't think he really needs a big role like in the first trilogy but I would like to see him come back to the mansion.

Sabretooth: Save him for the Wolverine prequel/spin-off

Mystique: Definitely, I think she should start her own Brotherhood like in the comics and go against Magneto. Her powers should come back too.

Magneto: He should return with his powers back because of the ending of the third film, but not as the main villian.

Rogue: Absolutly she is one of the most popular X-Men characters and since she'll most likely get her powers back in the next movie, and if she is handled well maybe get some new powers as well.

the question is a bit wrong. Rogue, Erik and Mystique aren't eliminated.

Yeah, but they're sort of "cut out of the picture" now that they're humans. They're all easy to bring back, but they did end the third movie "out of commission".

It would be easy to keep Xavier out of the next movie. Just say that the extra scene at the end of X3 was a little tidbit for fans, and not something that really happened in the storyline.

The fact that a mutant is "no more" a mutant doesn't mean he can't continue in the next movie. This franchise has its characters, whatever they do during each sequel.

Cured or killed was the movieverse's way of saying "you're done, we're moving on".

I don't think they planned on bringing any of those characters back.

Still, I would like to see Cyclops lead a relatively newer team that would include Gambit and have Emma Frost be one of the villains that joins them at the end of the film, mostly because she's fallen in love with Scott.

Cyclops: I can't decide. Part of me thinks he's already had his time, as shoddy as it was, and another resurrection would hurt the films, but the other part wants to bring him back so that a fourth movie would actually have a worthwhile cast.

Jean: Absolutely not.

Professor X: Already done, but he should probably remain powerless due to the mind-transfer.

Sabretooth: Not outside of the Wolverine films.

Mystique: She's already served her purpose; it's time to move on to new villains.

Magneto: His tale is done with.

Rogue: Leave her depowered and off-panel (this goes double if Gambit's in the film; why should she take him down with her?). She's already been established as a wimp and a change now would just be bad writing. Besides, she'd just start complaining about her powers all over again if she got them back.

Cyclops: He could easily comeback because his death wasn't shown onscreen. And it would be great if he will have his time to shine in X4. For me the X-men isn't complete without Cyclops.

Rogue: We saw that the cure wasn't permanent because Magneto was able to use his power on the chess. So Rogue can easily comeback into the X-men.

I would bring Cyclops back. He was killed for no reason at all. Besides the X-men need their leader. And it doesn't matter how much Fox wants make Wolverine the best ever X-man, Wolverine is not a leader. Storm should've stepped up.

i picked everyone but Sabretooth as i think all of the other characters need to be shown more, wolverine and storm need to take a backstep!

I really think Rogue needs to come back and take more limelight. She needs to steal some mutants powers and get strength and flight ability! Cyclops also needs to come back.

I agree that she needs more limelight. I don't think she should get the strength/flying ability, though. I think she should be allowed to show off more of the skills she has and also be able to absorb memories (it doesn't seems like she can in the movies), and I think she should take Pyro's power in X5 in a variation on the Sunfire storyline in the comics.

Bring back the three cured people (Magneto, Mystique and Rogue)
mainly because stupid x3 people put the scene of mag and the chess set...

I don't see know how many times you ressurect people so let the for sure dead people stay dead... not including Xavier

Sabretooth can comeback for the Wolvy movie in '08

there's nothing else Jean can contribute now that she's been killed twice and has gone threw the Phoenix stage there's nothing left to look forward to.

that is all

Agreed. I'd like to see Rogue back, too. But I am tired of having Magneto be the villain again. If anything, MAYBE they can bring back Mystique possibly now working for Apocalypse? Or Sinister?

Either way, Cyclops is the most important character to bring back and put in the forefront. He doesn't have to be the Lead Star of the movie, but he should be a strong presence and an authoritative team leader.

I'm thinking that he should begin as a bad guy (not really "villian", 'cause the real enemy is the Sentinels and the Brotherhood doesn't actually battle the X-Men at any point in this movie), but end up teaming with the X-Men in the final battle. I'm trying to figure out how the Brotherhood could wind up getting a pardon for their crimes, and end up merging with the X-Men (in the comic Apocalype story, which I'm building up to, Magneto was the head of the X-Men. In my movie version, I'd like Storm and Magneto to run it together).

The Age of Apocalypse was an alternate reality where Magneto & Rogue were a couple. Ian and Anna???

I think Magneto's role has been played out. I think he can have a cameo, but not a part of the action. I'd like to see Cyclops and Storm co-lead the team. Split the teams into the Blue & Gold teams. Introduce Gambit. And have Scott be the headmaster of the school, administering discipline.

I think he should order Storm and her team. And oversee the whole operation. I'd love to see Sinister, with hints of Apocalypse, or the Hellfire Club & Emma Frost, and of course, the sentinels...

OH! Maybe Sinister can help reactivate Mystique's powers. Maybe Rogue regrets her decision and decides to seek out Sinister to regain her powers.

Cyke needs to come back and do what he swore to do in the first movie :cmad: I would rather see him lead the team than Storm..

Jean should stay dead.. I don't really care about seeing her back. Besides, it'd be too much since she already "died" twice in a row.

Xavier.. I don't really care much if he comes back. I know he's still alive and all.. maybe they could just have the X-Men discover he's still alive by the end. Besides, I don't want to see him in some random guy's body.

I don't really care if Sabretooth comes back at this point.. he can be in the Wolverine movie but I don't know about an X4 or any other movies involving the team..

I don't think the cure is permanent so I'm guessing Rogue, Mystique and Magneto will all get their powers back fully.. Rogue I definitely wanna see again.. I guess they could stick Mags & Mystique in there but I don't want him as the villain again.

There's no reason for Jean to return. She should stay dead. The next time I see Jean Grey, it had better be in a prequel or a reboot.

The correct answer would be all of the above. Maybe they can have a Bobby Ewing/Dallas type ending where we learn that X3 was all a dream.

Eh. Magneto basically sided with the X-Men in X2. Sure, he turned on them at the end, but that's just Magneto for you.

Also... If Magneto ever wound up leading the X-Men in any battle Storm wouldn't be anything more than a subordinate. Magneto doesn't have co-leaders... It's not in his character.

Not if the X-Men and the Brotherhood remained their own groups, joined together. They'd merge, but still remain individual. It's kinda hard to explain.

Ianna would rule! lol jk

The movies can "borrow" from several different versions of the comics at the same time. Have the Apocalypse storyline, but Rogue will be with Gambit.
