Which 'The End' story is the best?

Either Hulk The End or Punisher The End for me.

Probably Punisher The End. It's a great story. If you haven't read it, I suggest you go and buy it and stop reading this. It's impact is lost if you know what happens. But basically SPOiLERS - he kills everyone, and then dies. Incredibly depressing, but so good. It's so sad when he walks away in flames, "Maybe this time, I'll reach the park in time to see them". Something along those lines. Punisher just seems like an unstoppable terminator when he's wiping out the last of the human race. He doesn't care about saving the human race. All that he cares about is that the last people left don't deserve to live. Very heavy anti-war message here. It's true to life. The people that make the decisions to bomb countries and send people off to war - they really don't care about the people that die. They just care about what they have to gain. Powerful story.

Hulk: The End was my favorite of the comics that actually had "The End" in the title. The Last Avengers Story is my favorite of the comics with that theme.

I'd have to say The End Xmen seeing as it's the only one I could find.

X-Men: The End was too much. 18 issues!! How much money is that? It's crazy. Every issue is a confusing mess. Characters are all over the place, you can't keep track. The final issue, unlike Punisher: The End and Hulk: The End, didn't do anything for me.

I hated that. Great message to send. Every other hero's story can be ended in one or two issues, but the almighty X-Men require 3 separate mini-series to get it done. Please. :o

Hulk : the end.

Fantastic story .... very dark.

Banner is long gone and the Hulk is cursed to live on in a nightmare future.

I didn't mean anything by it, there were waaay too many issues but come on with so many characters and villains how are they gonna fit that in one or two issues? the only ones I've seen is the Wolverine(hated it) can't find the Hulk or Punisher issue(s). who else has one of these and where do I find them?

The Last Avengers Story ended everything in a satisfactory way for the Avengers, who have just as many members as the X-Men, in 2 issues. They just limited the primary focus to the most memorable Avengers, unlike Claremont's fanboy-fest. Seriously, who the **** cares what happened to Cecilia Reyes?

there were a lot things that left me with questions in that series but I enjoyed it in the end. so how did the last avengers story end?

Of the one's i've actually read, Punisher.

Could people post reviews, make it a bit more interesting?

punisher.

It distilled the basic essecence of ennis's punisher run into one terrifying conclusion. It basically took the idea to its logical conclusion. It also benfitted greatly from some masterful artwork from corben.

Punisher...he killed the entire human race :o

1. Hulk - Amazing
2. Punisher - really cool, but perhaps a bit too political
3. Last Avengers Story - underappreciated
4. Marvel Universe - didn't really live up to it's name, but it's a good cosmic story with some quality Thanos stuff
5. X-Men - blah
6. Wolverine - utter dung

the original printing of Hulk: The End is a little hard to find and can run you, like $20. But it was just recently reprinted in Giant Size Hulk #1 out last month

the punisher one just check with your LCSs or online stores, shouldn't be TOO hard to find
edit: here's one on ebay for a good price http://cgi.ebay.com/Punisher-THE-EN...ryZ32760QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

ok...this is the second time that i am screwed by you guys. how was i screwed? well i have old issues missing there conclusions. i lived with it fine and dandy, but you guys have to bring it up... seemingly rubbing it in my face.
so, i guess my question is, what happened in the last Avenger story? did the vision come back to help? how did they beat ultron? great art by the way (only problem with the story is that cap would NOT have become president)
as for the other time i was screwed was with waldy the wanderer. as i remember, it was you SLIM31 that mentioned him. do you have any issues besides the first 6, which i have? i am dying to know about his clash with eternity.

For me it's The Hulk, hands down.

Very haunting and moody....

"Hulk just wants to be left alone.." How many times did we hear THAT over the years? Talk about being careful what you wish for...

Haven't read the Hulk one (and don't intend to), but I enjoyed Punisher and Last Avengers Story, in that order.
Got 3 issues in to both Wolverine and X-Men and promptly stopped buying. Sold them on eBay. Total ****. :down

I like Thor#85 Disassembled and of course the series leading up to it. Of course I didnt like it being the end of the Thor series but I thought it was a great ending and shown Thor doing what he has always meant to do.

I can get a particular character not appealing to you, but you sound like you outright despise him

Wasn't Spider-Man supposed to get an End story written by JMS?
