Which has been the best The End?

yeah, they'll get to it, Fantastic Four is up next. Hopefully we'll see a Daredevil one as well, some day

I think Daredevil, the End, could be depressing.
What I mean is, while Spider-Man or the FF should have happy endings,
But DD could get away with a sad or depressing ending.
It might fit.

I can get a particular character not appealing to you, but you sound like you outright despise him

In every comic I've read that has him in it, he just ends up smashing things and saying **** like "HULK STRAIGHT!!!" It's wasted potential.
Plus he's never really appealed to me, so.... :o

Wasn't Spider-Man supposed to get an End story written by JMS?

I count that one issue of ASM as Spidey: The End, and that was written by JMS. :o

I can assure you that Hulk: The End is quite possibly the single best story ever written of him, and it is far deeper than that. If you ever give ANY Hulk story a chance, it should be that one

Yes, its very good. but horribly sad.
I don't really count the ASM spider-man story as the The End story for Spider-Man, I thought it was suppossed to imply that this could happen.

In the Hulk The End, they mentioned a giant space war that killed a bunch of heroes, Hulk is walking through a field of statues dedicated to them. So doesn't that mean Spider-Man, the Avengers, X-Men, all died in this war?

Anyway, I really want Spider-Man's offical the End story to be happy.
His life has been pooped on enough.

Who should write DD: The End?
I'd say Frank Miller, but he hasn't written anything remotely readable in a long time.
Bendis? His "What If?" one-shots were pretty weak.
Nocenti? Typhoid Mary was her only good contribution
Brubaker? He's only had a few issues to prove himself.
Stan the Man? I don't know if he's capable of writing anyhting without every sentence ending in "!"

If anyone's ending should be happy, it's Daredevil. All of his girlfriends (except Milla) are dead, his best friend is dead, his father is dead, etc.

Have Kevin Smith write it but make sure its a one-shot.

As long as Quesada doesn't pencil it, I'm down
Guardian Devil was a great story, but the art was just so Godawful that I could hardly read it. :(

Maybe Miller cant get off his ass and deliver some art on it.

And not give us, like, 63 pages of Elektra ass shots.

Daredevil: The End
art by Frank Miller
story by Kevin Smith and Frank Miller
(because Miller would probably want to contribute)

It could be a 12 issue story, I'd get it.:daredevil

Maybe it could also have some contributions from other people who have worked on it like Alex Maleeve. This is a really good idea, MARVEL should really get to work on it.

Really, I know its a lame joke, but we would never see the end of that series.

I was just saying that if you got BIG names like Frank Miller and Kevin Smith to work on it, it would end up being more than one issue.
And if you could get those names, you should probably get other artists and writers from past issues to help too in some very small way.

but I know what you mean, X-Men The End is still going on I think.
But The End needs to be done right, no matter who its about.

I think when MARVEL came up with The End, they thought it would be like a single issue per character. And they would make one for everyone in a years time. At least thats how it seemed to be advertised.
The End, for Hulk, Spider-Man, X-Men, and many other Marvel characters.
But now they are taking these stories incredibly seriously. Which is a good thing, if its meant to be an actual ending.

's not true. The Black Widow is fine, Echo is fine, Elektra died but came back. And then there's Milla, and it depends if you count Typhoid Mary as a true love interest

So really it's just the normal one - Heather Glenn, Glorianna O'Breen, and Karen Page.

as for DD: The End - I would be dcisappointed if anyone but Maleev did it. His DD work is nothing short of orgasm-inducing gorgeousness

who me?

dude, you hasve no idea how funny that is right now

IM me, wouldja?

we might not, but our great grandchildren might see it...and as much as Miller has been late recently, at least he's not quite as bad as smith...it's been what, 2 years since DD: Target #1 came out?

Makes me happy I never bought that first issue. Im not a completists but I need to get the beginning and end of the story to be happy. Thats why I always give new comics an arc.

three and a half

and nobody can complain about Smith while we're still waiting for John Byrne's Nextmen

The one were Thanos steal God's power and ereases everything.
I mean how can you beat that, some doctor who can turn into a green hooligan?
Thanos is probobly the one that deserves the most to be on top, because he work for his powers, he was not born with it.

Like this;
Oh, I'm Galactus I can do anything because I was born this way.
He's probobly the worst snob/brat ever.

While Thanos started at zero.
Like Bill Gates, he deserves it.

A) You still haven't read it yet have you?
B) It's about the story, not the individual character. Hulk: The End blows Marvel: The End out of the water.

Thanos started out with powers. Eternals are some of the most powerful beings outside of cosmic beings, in fact.

Heh, funny, I missed that.

Thanos ain't Batman or something.
