He still was trying to avoid the fight, it's not like he was on a timeframe to get to betty.

It's a whatif scenario, if the dogs were there and betty wasn't hulk wouldn't of stayed about to fight.

1. He went after blonsky and the army, he wasn't trying to get away even though he clearly could've at any point. When Blonsky ran, Hulk ran after him, he wanted to fight, plain and simple.

He was attacked and he defended himself. Just like Hulk '03 did. There is nothing disimilar about this two reactions. When they are attacked, they defend themselves. I don't think either one would just walk down the street and attack somebody for no good reason. And let's not forget that Hulk '08 let Abomination live. Hulk 03 killed his own daddy! t:

2. I don't think Hulk's tranformation circumstances have anything to do if he wanrs a fight or not, anytime he gets to come out he's going to smash something or take out someone.

Well until we see a Banner Hulking out because he won the lottery or something there really is no way to tell.

I think you're wrong about '03 hulk being an aspect of bana and so being smarter. I'm pretty sure they said in the movie hulk was a seperate personality, born when bruce was born but kept locked away until the gamma pulse or whatever it was let him free. That's why his dad said the hulk was his real son and also explains the whole mirror scene.

Well then Hulk is actually a personality that developed over time and still should be smarter than '08 hulk who is what... 1 day old?

'08 hulk was like 5 years old and I don't think timeframe is relivant to their 'smarts' after all these are both gamma induced creatures. I'm actually going to change my opinion though and say they seemed on the same level, both using tactics and intelligence in their battles, neither one really surpassing the other .

BTW I am a huge Ang hulk fans, that is the film I will watch if I want a movie that makes me think and adds some good action in there, '08 hulk I will watch if I want to see raw action at it's finest with some thinking moments and emotional moments in there.

Nah, it's just with me defending '08 alot it may come across that I'm an Ang hater, when infact I love the movie and have watched in over 100 times and I just don't want people thinking I'm just outright bashing the '03 film. To answer your question though, yes, yes you are scary t:.

Oh I wouldn't believe that. Lots of people like both versions, including myself. It just so happens that you're caught in a particular discussion, arguing a particular point. No biggie.

Watch the cave scene again...or the scene on the Culliver campus, right before he kneels down to protect Betty. When they are standing next to one another, he is clearly just about twice her height, which makes him a lot taller than 7', or even 9' IMO (Liv Tyler being 5'10"). He looks closer to 10' to me.

I guess he was a lil taller than 7 feet, but there were a lot scenes were he didnt look that tall. Also, I do like the 08 hulk's appearance better than 03. I don't think the 03 look like shrek in anyway like some of you think, but the 08 does look better.

And both hulks showed there smarts in different ways. 08 used the vacuum force and strangling Abom, and 03 jumped on the F-16 so that it wouldn't hit the bridge.

I'm not going to come down on either side on this one, but I do want to point out...

'03 had a running start when he flipped that tank over, if I recall. He then grabbed the end of the cannon, spun around a few times to build up his momentum and *then* threw it. He didn't just walk up to the tank, lift it over his head, and toss it off into the stratosphere. Not to mention he had reached his maximum size when all of this took place.

When '08 casually picked up, and tossed, that forklift, he had just transformed only moments ago.

It seems that people keep trying to compare them in dissimilar situations.

I think, as has already been surmised by others, that they deliberately avoided putting '08 Hulk in situations that would've required him to do the fantastical things '03 Hulk did, in order to keep the character more grounded (hence the fade out at the end of the Abom fight, right as we were about to see how far he could truly leap). I could be wrong, but that's my impression.

I'll say again, the only clear advantage I see '03 Hulk having is a much faster healing factor.

A forklift weighs at most 10 tons. An M1 Abrams tank weighs almost 70 tons. Not to mention he throws the forklift like 20 feet, while 03 HULK threw it maybe half a mile.

You're the one who's not listening (or reading properly in this case). I must have said like THREE TIMES that I don't care if you think the 03 version sucks. You're not the first person you say that and you're certainly not the only one. There was a big difference in the way they were thrown. One was swung round and then used the momentum to toss it a mile and also looked asif he was putting all of his strength into it. The other other, the forklift, was picked up and tossed asif it was a football, with the greatest of ease. I wouldn't put it passed new hulk being able to recreate the scene exactly, if he was putting all his strength into it and had momentum from swinging it round.
