This is strictly about the Hulk's actual physical appearance, nothing else. I personally felt that the Bana version looked more lifelike, (meaning he blended into the scenery better-it looked more to me like he was actually there) but the Norton version had better detailing & looked more menacing.:bh:

I gotta go with New Hulk over classic hulk. The new one looked more bestial more menacing like you said. Which is why the general populace might be afraid and want to hunt him down.I will say the 2003 version did look like Bana transformed, but not fill of rage like the 2008 one.

That's a different matter though; the 2003 Hulk, most of the time, looked scared and/or confused, not really angry-especially in his first transformation, in which he looked kinda like a baby. 2008 did look like Norton transformed, moreso in some scenes than others. But I agree that Norton's Hulk appeared more of a threat & Bana's came across like if you left him alone everything would be ok.

Exactly. which is the reason I preferred the new version.Being child- like there wasn't that sense of urgency like the new one had, forget that "he's a weapon and I want it" stuff. Hulk being a menace is more of a reason for me believing for Thunderbolt Ross would go after him.I kinda wish they would have use the green from the 2003 one, cause the new one looked darker in some places, but that's nit picky stuff i can live with.

I like elements from both:

Ang Lee's Hulk had better color, build, and clothing.

Louis Letterier's Hulk had better face, hair (by a mile), and movement.

Better colour? I loved Ang's Hulk but the luminous green was one of the really bad aspects of the movie.

:whatever: I honestly cannot comprehend how anyone can think the Hulk is "too green." I never even heard this as a complaint about Ang's movie until after the new washed-out color was first announced.

The Colour issue of Ang's Hulk has been a long standing thing, not just something that arose because of the new hulk. It was so green that he couldn't be blended into his surroundings perfectly, overall it made the character look too cartoony when the aim was for a real world hulk.

HAHAHAHAHA............Ferrigno, ftw!! he looked more real than the movie version.

but seriously, of the 2 movies, lookwise, i like the 08 Hulk better. i just wasn't all that thrilled by the 03 Hulk look at all.

Banner Hulk looked way more detailed and much more closer to the comic and tv show, all at once. He also looked way more scarier.

The Norton Hulk, in my opinion, looks a lot better than the Bana Hulk. It's more detailed/less cartoony and scarier. Yup. :)

Norton Hulk was much better. The shade of green and the texture was easily superior. The size and build and Hulk's expressions were also preferable.

I thing the design of TIH was made to look darker on many levels. Compared to HULK (03), TIH's Hulk looks way more menacing. He also is a darker shade of green and even looks a dirtier and gritty. 03 Hulk was great but it was something about this Hulk that just screamed HULK SMASH.

I loved 2003 and the 2008, they both had something about them.

What's funny about is that the Ang's Hulk wouldn't work in the Incredible Hulk movie and the 2008 Hulk wouldn't work in Lee's film.

But I think I will choose the new one for being like a beast and perfectly destroyed jeans which looked really cool...

oh and by the way I found 2003 Hulk just a little bit to big but I didn't mind.

When I first saw the new Hulk, I thought he looked a little too narrow but after the third watching, it really grew on me a lot. Comparing the two, the first one does look good but looks a little puffy next to the new Hulk. Gotta go with the new Hulk. He just looks more like an Engine of Destruction. ;)

The Hulk from 5 years ago was of a significantly superior design (and the execution of said design was, similarly, more impressive) to the Hulk of 2008. This new Hulk was more a garish caricature than actual character.

Bana's Hulk looked the best. He's had more realism and looked like he actually existed. His movements were more realistic too. Norton's Hulk looked like Shrek on steroids and had too many muscle details. And the CGI was also weak compare to Bana's.

For the 2003 Hulk, i'd have to say he looked so realistic and much, much stronger than the new one. I mean even both of'em(new Hulk and Abomination) took him on, they'll be his b~itch. For the 2008 Hulk, well, yeah he looked so much more menacing! If a sequel will be made, i wish they'd make this new Hulk stronger than the 2003 Hulk to live up to his namesake.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest complaints about the 2003 version was his size; even comic fans far & wide complained about him being too big. I feel like the TV show hurt the common perception of what he was supposed to look like.

Ok fine let's wipe the slate clean and forget about his looks. The hulk basically is a monster of shear strength and power, i can't believe he needed a forklift to barge through the wall, his body would have been more than enough. I can live with the way he looked and his size is agreable anyways, but his strength it definitely needs improvement! He could go toe-to-toe with Superman, Juggernaut, Thanos, Onslaught and many other top tiers, and that movie needs more military hardware in the scene. I personally felt that the movie was incomplete without the tanks, apaches, f-22 or the A-10s thunderbolt and bombs TRYING to stop the hulk. Not to bad mouth or anything, I must say that the entire movie captivated me and brought back the 70s feel of the incredible hulk, but it just needed a little more action than it desreved. Lastly his strength should be one of the main issues of the film.

As I'm sure I've posted before I was constantly aware I was watching CGI during TIH. But there were certain shots in Hulk 03 when it appeared the Hulk was actually in front of me; specifically when the tank gunner was firing at Hulk as he ran right at him.

Just like I said, I found the '03 Hulk to be more lifelike.

Norton Hulk looks better. Bana Hulk looks too much like the actor himself. Norton looks more jadded and brash,Bana looked more clean and the shorts.

Stylicastically, TIH design looked way better. I'm a fan of the savage Hulk from when I was a kid, so it's pretty much a no brainer.

In terms of CG skin texture though - Ang's Hulk is the winner.
