Which 'new on going' are you anticipating the most?

Crime here doesn't compare to the us? No **** man. Does that have anything to do with the fact they are far bigger than us, with far more people? what they do have is a right to arm themselves and defend their homes. we dont. remember tony martin? he went to jail for shooting a robber, and the liberals introduced a law to (and I quote) ''protect burglers from violent home owners''. You don't understand that if they were found guilty (and courts use something newfangled called ''evidence'') it wasn't something that was rushed. People debated the evidence. So yeah, if you're found guilty, chances are you are 98% of the time.

Also you're only gonna increase the problem of violent crime with automatic death sentences. If a guy knows he will die if guilty the words "you'll never take me alive" start to become commonplace, more cops die and england becomes 10 times more violent.

Look at China. It is what you would call a police state. However, despite this, it's in the middle of an economic boom and is a world super power, and is increasing the quality of life for all it's inhabitants. Now, you would have us believe that a police state is evil and doom and gloom and wah wah wah, but in the next decade or so it will be england and america's economic equal, if not surpassing us. So your predictions of doom and gloom are being proven wrong as we speak. Not to mention even with it's huge size there is little crime.

So yeah, who's ignorant again?

In 10 years , this police state will be an economic superpower, possibly the biggest in the world, while our country will be going further and further down the ****ter. Be proud of your contribution to it.

Out of the pair listed, Iron Fist. Been years since he's had a decent ongoing or even been a regular member of a team book. Brubaker and Aja at least are A-List talent (even if Brubaker is doing his "resurrect/retcon a long dead character" schtick for the billionth time; dude, get a new gimmick du jur because Vulcan sucked). Plus after impersonating DD, Rand's suddenly gotte some attention, and all without being written hideously out of character or dying! At Marvel! Who knew? So, looking foward to seeing how his new series does with him now that they've been passed the ball.

Part of the appeal of the Punisher, for me atleast, is the fact that he, like Batman, has no superpowers, but still manages to be one of the most dangerous mofos in a world full of demigods and mutants. This aspect of the character doesn't get adressed in the MAX series since it takes place in the "real" world, so I think this new series is relevant in that respect. I can understand why some might dismiss the character as being one demensional due to the fact he doesn't really display a wide range of emotions; I mean, he doesn't fall in love, or even laugh for that matter. Still, you have to be a little intrigued by a guy who refuses to play the capture criminal-criminal gets released-recapture criminal game in world where just about everybody in tights is playing by those rules. Moreover, while you may dismiss his exploits as being redundantly Ramboesque, you could just as well say that reading Spiderman is like watching a superhero movie 100 times over.

For me, it's Iron Fist. I can't wait for this new on-going to come out and really it's has a solid team on the book. Ed Brubaker is a great wirter and to have him writing sounds awesome. Since he's such a fan of the character, I think we're in for a lot of kickass martial art stories.

Quality of life??? Money at the expense of human rights does not constitute quality of life. In fact quality of life over there is atrocious. Due to a lack of workers rights, increasing rates of spousal abuse, arresting and aduction of political dissidents, human trafficing, child pornography and prostitution, lack of freedom of movement and information...is that what you want.

If I locked you in a prison cell for the rest of your life, you'd be pretty safe...but not happy.

It's easy to show low crime rates when you don't consider human rights violations crimes.

Furthermore both Hitler's Nazi Regime and Mousilini's Fascist regime were extremely economically prosperous, because if you did not work for the good of the country you died or went to jail.

Yeah, i pumped to see frank take on some of the super-powered villians and it's going to force writers to be more creative than the simple plot. Big Time criminal flirts above the law, Frank makes plan to kill criminal by killing other criminals, Frank finally catches big time criminal and kills him. And can't wait to see some of the conversations/match-ups to come out him interacting with the marvel u (i.e. Cap, Unmasked spidey, wolverine, DD out of prison, deadpool?)
