Which scene are you most looking forward to?

I really hope they can somehow adapt the scene with Manhattan on the moon where he's recounting the events that lead to his accident. I think it's the most poignant part of the book, but would be hard to do without a few minutes of pure narration.

Another scene I look forward to is when Laurie slowly begins to realize the truth. That The Comedian is her father. It should have that slow panicking build-up where all those sound clips of her memories with Eddie and her childhood keep popping up in her head and she just breaks down as she realizes it. Also, when she throws the bottle of Nostalgia and turns Doc Manhattan's glass palace into sand. Beautifully done.

YES!!! And then, the final pan out to the surface of Mars with the fallen fortress making the :)

I wonder how/if they'll do the time shifts, "Sorry, I was talking to Rorsrarch 30 in the future" etc. That could interesting.

1) Rorschach's opening monologue.

2) The New Frontiersman staff scenes: "Here's an article some guy wrote about fluoride turning people into homos". ROFL

3) Hollis Mason having b&w flashbacks while being beaten to death.

4) Dan's dream.

Definitely. I think that's one bit in the comic that will translate very well to film.

The scene I want to see the most is Dr. Manhattan recalling his life in that weird, out-of-order sequence. I hope Snyder does that section justice... it's immensely powerful stuff.

1) Agreed... At Comic-Con, Snyder insisted that if you shoot the opening of the film differently than that of the comic, then you're friggin krazy. Let's hope he meant it. If I hear "Dog carcass in alley this morning..." over the classic, long tracking shot, then my panic attacks will be stopped dead in their tracks (They will be replaced by the familiar sensation of heat that comes as my poop meets my pants).

2) Why not? I'm going to say "not likely," in the hopes that I can pull off some variety of meta-karmic jinx as to ensure its inclusion in the film.

3) I'm fairly certain we'll see this. Speaking of Hollis and opening tracking shots, did anyone else dig on McHattie's performance in A History of Violence? He was really good, although the nature of the character was way more malevolent Harry Dean Stanton than benevolent Hollis Mason. He was really good; I could hardly recognize him.

4) It's a done-deal. Snyder has talked on a few occasions about matching the iconic image of Osterman being torn to pieces with Dan's dream. So you'd have to be ultra-paranoid to the point of not being able to function as a human being if you think Snyder's going to overlook that scene.

For me, it's the scene where Rorschach basically let's everyone in the prison know the way it really is!
the big goon behind him in chow line is gonna shiv him and is talking smack to him and Rorschach grabs a pan of boiling oil and throws it in his face. While the guy lays screaming on the floor and the other inmates look on in horror he yells " You think I'm trapped in here with you but you're wrong...YOU'RE trapped in here with ME!!!"

That scene will rock!

The stuff with Rorschach and the prison psychologist.

Rorsach popping out of the fridge and the flash back of Night Owl & Comedian clearing out the mob and streets.

So freaking many scenes, I might as well just put the whole movie, but....

1. Rorschach tossing the fat on the other convict.
2. Dr. Manhattan on Mars.
3. The vendor looking at the sky as everything turns white.
4. Adrian catching the bullet.

and, last but not least....

Rorscach getting vaporized.

Rorschach eating beans out of a can. Complete with yucky-eating-beans noises.

aw man how are they going to fit all these scenes in this film??? if they could i wouldn't mind watching a 5hour movie. bliss
if only:yay:

Rorshach getting caught by police and the Prison break by Night Owl.

Plus the Mars Scenes and the Audience disappear and and....well Everything!!

all the scenes you have mention espeseally.

Dr. Manhattans origin
DR. Manhattan makes the audience disappear.
Rorshach and the flame thrower
and the part befor the monster enters the city and the people are fighting in the street.

Hmm,

- Rorschach's flashback about the kidnapping and the dogs, aka the whole psychologist part (including the psychologist looking at the blots and telling what he sees, and wondering if that's all there is.)

- Manhattan's Origins, with both the fat man AND the little boy.

- "Come. Dry Your Eyes." This whole scene shouldn't be changed at all.

- Dan's dream

- Adrian Living.

I remember reading an interview a while ago where Snyder said that one of his people determined that a straight-up adaptation of Watchmen in its entirety would run just over six hours.

"Do it? I'm not a republic serial villain. Do you seriously think I'd explain my masterstroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting its outcome?

I did it thirty-five minutes ago."

The harrowing climax as delivered by Matthew Goode. Pure b. o. gold.

I want the epilogue. Especially Laurie's mom at the end crying. It really showed how complicated her relationship with the Comedian was

Plus all of Manhattan on Mars.

A few more scenes...
- The Dr. Manhattan/Laurie/Dr. Manhattan threeway.
- Dan and Laurie beating the crap out of the gang members.
- Floating circulatory system after Jon got vaporized.
- Kovacs walking around the streets before Rorscach is unmasked.
- Bubastis.
- Rorscach entering the restroom, killing Big Figure, and then leaving as a pool of blood comes from under the door.

I have high hopes for this film.
