Which version of the Guardians of the Galaxy do you want to see on film?

I think Modern for the first film, and then you expand the franchise with the 31st century GOTG. A GotG Trilogy could reveal so much of the Marvel cosmic-verse, alongside the Inhumans and a Nova film.

To be honest,i don't know a thing about GOTG....i have about 4 comics of the old series, (wich had a cameo of doom's brain in a wolverine skeleton...for real!) but one of the two versions,having a movie and maybe coming to a tragic end,to make way for the other GOTG sounds risky but cool!
Is that making any sense?

The new roster has a good mix of characters and personalities. I think they have to go with the new one. Plus perhaps Warlock and Nova? Besides who wouldn't want to see Rocket Raccoon on the big screen? Having him interact with RDJ's Stark would be pretty boss.

If Marvel is going all cosmic then I truly hope they can get the rights to Galactus back. Can you imagine a film that had The Avengers, GOTG, Thanos, and Galactus? That would make heads explode!

Modern day version, no doubt. & I assume that's the version we'll be seeing since Marvel has been pushing them lately (Rocky in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, the team in Avengers: EMH, the new series coming soon). Thank god, since they're way cooler & more interesting than the original team.

Not to mention way more connected to Thanos.

Yeah, I think Thanos will be the big bad in this movie. It would explain his character & show that he's a huge threat by himself. & then in Avengers 2, he gets the Gauntlet & all hell breaks loose.

Could end up being just as great as Avengers if the right cast and director are behind it! A Marvel Studios Space Opera Adventure...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

If Marvel made GOTG the primary focus to set Thanos up for The Avengers, I think a 2 and a half hour space epic where Thanos ends up killing them all and invading earth would be awesome and worth only having one GOTG film. Then again, that is really risky and the chances are around 95% that it would be terrible.
