He probably has the best rouges gallary in the whole Marvel universe. Almost unlimited stories could be told. So who would you like to see....

A trilogy with the first movie being Loki, the second being the "Dan Jurgens storyline" with the Asgardian Destroyer and the third being the "Ragnorak" story arc with Surtur.

^ Exactly how I see it..Thor could be marvels most epic movie. Like lord of the rings..I think this is exactly how the fans want to see Thor handled and not in some cheesy hour and 40 minute con job like ff.

What are the two biggest genres right now?

Superhero and fantasy.

Superhero + fantasy = Thor.

Get on with it!

TESTIFY! FF4 could have a been a trilogy too, but noooo. It could have been so damn good.

Thor, to me would be like a cross between "Superman: the movie" and "Lord of the Rings." There is so much story to play with there. There's a love story (Thor & Sif, Donald Blake & Jane Foster), gigantic battles, sons looking for his father's approval (Thor/ Loki & Odin) and huge feats of strength and superheroics. I've even got names for the 3 movies that would set them apart from other Superhero movies: The Mighty Thor, Thor: God of Thunder & The Ruler of Asgard. If they were to get credible actors to play Thor, Odin, Loki, Donald Blake, Lady Sif and Jane Foster and a director like Peter Jackson or Steven Spielberg, it's just as good as printing money.

Hi guys! :)

Actually I believe there should be at least 9 Thor Movies (a trilogy of trilogies as it were).

I also believe you should have at least 5 villains in each.

Let me explain my reasoning.

You need a humanocentric schemer type to mastermind the plot, they will have some hammer fodder for Thor to embarass, you need a slugger for Thor to throw down with, you need some sort of world-shaking monster/plot device to give the movie that epic feel.

The fourth villain is the Intro villain (always start with a bang I say).

Okay, so how does that work in practice...

Movie 1: The Mighty Thor

Intro Villain: Ulik (flashback scene of Asgardians vs. Trolls)
Schemer: Loki
Hammer Fodder: Stonemen (created by Loki from rocks)
Slugger: The Wrecking Crew
World Shaker: The Destroyer

I posted a detaled synopsis of the first movie (or rather how I would do it) on my website:

www.immortalshandbook.com/shrine2.htm

here would be Movie 7:

Intro Villain: Shiva (or Beta Ray Bill?)
Schemer: Malekith
Hammer Fodder: Fire Demons
Slugger: Algrim the Strong (or Fafnir?)
World Shaker: Surtur

you heard the man:ninja:

I didn't like any of the choices. I want to see one of the earlier (Kirby era) epics brought to the silver screen. My pick being the Hurcules/Pluto story. Thor taking on all of Hades= pure epic!

All of 'em, over the course of a trilogy...starting with Loki, naturally.

Hey waht about The Absorbing Man? Crusher Creel got his START in the Marvel Universe as a Thor Rogue....

Since the Hulk movie crapped all over him with THEIR version, why not do the REAL version in a Thor flick?

Why is their no option for Osama Bin Laden? Or George Bush?

Wow. 9 Movies is alot, don't you think?

Not really. I'd spread them out over a 30 year period, and recycle the cast every trilogy. Remember also we are not duplicating any villains (with the exception of Loki who would return in the odd numbered movies in some supporting capacity). So it would never get stale.

First trilogy: 2010, 2013, 2016

Second Trilogy: 2022, 2025, 2028

Third Trilogy: 2034, 2037, 2040

James Bond has had 20 movies in just over 40 years.

Thor has the rogues gallery to make 9 movies with 5 villains in each without duplications (and those 9 movies only take us up to issue #400).

I doubt even Batman could do that - doubly doubtful since they have already decided to use the Joker again in what is effectively Batman #6.

I love Upper Krust's love for Thor, but yeah he is mental. I mean that in a good way old friend.

Heh, yeah, me too, but the idea of 9 Thor films as coherent series is beyond absurd.
